At tv.zap2it.com:
They said NBC's "Contender" was "punchless" with only 8 million viewers.

This was for a Monday.......so I don't know what that translates to for a Sunday night.

It's matches what we had been doing on Sunday's. Apparently 8 million is not enough for Prime Time tv.
I don't know.
I also don't know....and kind of fear.....that we have to beat 8 million on Wedneday's to stay on. I hope not.

But I also don't know how much it COSTS to produce "Contender" versus the production costs of our show...........always back to that "money" thing. I hate it.

Anyone got any ideas?

Peace.

Hmmm...I guess we'll have to wait and see about our Wednesday raitings.
I don't know anything about The Contender, only that Sly Stalone is hosting or producing it, or something.
Why was the Contender on Monday instead of Sunday, by the way?

Well, I guess we'll know in about 26hrs how well we do on Wed. nights. If anyone hears about the ratings for Wedn. VS Sund. please post them so we know if there is any change.

"Why premiere on Monday.......only to show it on Sunday"
Who knows.....perhaps for exposure......or maybe they didn't have anything else to put on.

I think I read on tv.zap2it.com that a few different nights were being considered by NBC for the Contender.
This was said to not be a good sign for the show. Then Sunday was decided upon based upon NBC's belief that it would be good competition for our old competition. Cold Case and Home Improvement.......something about cross scheduling, or some other term they used.
We will see how it does when it moves to Sunday.

But NBC already proved running Dateline and/or reruns of Law and Order pulls in at least 8 million viewers or more.....so I think if Contender doesn't "make it".....they might go back to Dateline and/or reruns of Law and Order.
Or......who knows?......maybe ANOTHER spin off of Law and Order......I heard the latest one delivered viewers.

Here's a great question:
How many Law and Order spin offs will there be?
Try guession that one!

Peace.
