If J.J knew that he was only going to be involved in horse racing temorarily, why did he have to act like he had a Real Job?lol That idiot was showering his family with unnecessary gifts like he won the lottery instead of just buying food, paying rent and bills. Not buy Florida a Big A$$ TV for no reason at all-LOL J.J was a true ******

What tipped Florida off that J.J. was doing something illegal was the Big TV. I mean, the clock radio and the book was little stuff. J.J. was just so excited about making big money that he had to be a show-off. And THAT was his downfall with Florida.

If I was J.J., I would have said "I have been making little payments on the TV for a while now" instead of buying it upright, then he would have been okay, but NOOOO, he was making BIG MONEY no matter where it came from.

In Florida's case, Florida was looking those gift horses in the mouth, as usual. She did that same thing when James came home with all the presents from the IRS refund in "Black Jesus". "Where'd you get the money for this?", "How much did it cost?" "Did you steal this?" In J.J.'s case, Florida was right on when she said J.J. was doing something illegal, but with James, it was honest money given back to him. Two different scenarios, same storyline.

Back to J.J., yes he did go overboard but only because he was excited about the "job". And he didn't stop there because after he got kicked out, he brought a whole case of meat for the family! It was then that Michael and Thelma told him to give up the life or clear out.

The normal thing to do would have been buyin a little more food and paying bills. Not walk in the house like he is Santa Clause-lol

Yeah . . the whole JJ as Santa thing bothered me too.

Whether you are living in the projects or you are middle class, you gotta initially save that money for when you need it. And they would definitely need it. He was so foolish and selfish.
