Man I live in a apartment complex, and the vehicles are not safe over here. It is a decent area, that doesn't matter, because crime happens everywhere. Last summer, arow of 15 or something car windows were smashed in, a man lives arcoss the hall from me his car was stolen a few weeks ago, but was recovered in Syracuse, which is an hour away. My car was tampered with 2 weeks ago. Someone tried to pop the lock with a screw driver. But I got a steering club on. It was so dark they didn't see it. I reported it to the rental manager, they won't do anything, they are too cheap to hire security.

Where we live; my boyfriend's car got broken into last summer and all of our music cd's got stolen except for certain ones. That was the only time and hope it was the last. Since then; he's careful now about what he leaves in his car and what can be seen easily through the windows.

Today in this world; everybody has to be careful of what they do, what they say and so forth because you never know. There are a lot of crazy and sick people out there that have nothing better to do than to commit some kind of crime.

How sad.... My car has 2 alarms that only my key can open it.

To get a replacement it costs like 80 bucks. but I think it's worth it. It's sad when you can't even park your car without someone messing with it.

My Bro in law they stole his bumper right off the car.

My car got stolen from me. I used to have a 91 Chevy Lumina & it got stolen right in front of my grandparents house. I was so mad. The car i'm driving now got burglarized cause they tried to take a cd player but they couldn't take it out. They obviously didn't know what they were doing. My father's car got stolen a long time ago. He used to have a Cutlass Cierra in the early 80's & the dudes that stole it, they stole it out of my parents driveway. My father saw the car being driven out of the driveway & he ran out of the house & jumped on top of the hood of the car. I'm surprised they didn't kill him but he fell off the car when they got down the street & his arms got skinned up & bloody. A car isn't that important to me where i'm gonna risk my life to get it back. My father must've thought he was The Fall Guy that day LOL.

I applaud your father for what he did. I would have taken a bat and intimidated those bastards.

On our campus a bunch of CDs got stolen from my boyfriends car. They didn't touch his speakres or anything like that, just took all of his CDs. Why, I dunno. But he lost a bunch of his Lynyrd Skynyrd CD's, it about killed him. Now he'll only carry burned CDs in his car.

I had a great defense system in my car until this afternoon. I had dirty kleenexes on the passenger's seat and floor and used granola bar wrappers in the back seat. Now that I've cleaned, I'm not safe. :crying:

When I was in HS, there was a huge rash of stereo thefts and the kid across the street got his stolen. I don't think they'd try it with him now though...he's a Marine.

GarfieldKool even if my father would've had a bat to intimidate those dudes, what was that gonna do when they probably had guns? LOL.

I see what you mean. You do have to be on the defensive end because it is a lot of psychos out there.
