I buy season tickets for Mass Cash and Megabucks. I put scratch tickets in cards for my husband for Christmas, Valentines Day and his birthday. My husband plays the daily number if he happens to be in a store.

We hit for 20 grand a few years ago on the daily number.

My dad does. I picked all the numbers, though.

Needless to say we never win anything.

Yes. I don't play all the time, only if the pot is big. I play the daily 3 way and 4 way regularly. The most I ever won from the 3 way was $330. The most from the 4 way was $200. Scratch offs I usually win a few bucks here and there.

No, gambling is immoral and wrong.

Very rarely. Usually I only do it if my friends decide to pay.

Only $2.00/week (every Wednesday and Saturday).
Someone my mom knew who worked at Rite Aid (formerly Thrifty's) won about 1.5 or 2 million dollars. She did like me- only a couple of dollars a week. She quit her job, and bought a house in near-by Santa Clarita.
Since the odds of winning the California lottery are about 22 million to one, it doesn't make sense to spend $20 or $40/week on that.
My dad plays the lotto more than I, maybe $20/week. He once won $1,400- but he probably spent almost that playing for 20 years!

Why is it immoral?

I don't play the lottery. I think about doing it when there are hundreds of millions up for grabs in Powerball, but never get around to it.

I play Mega Millions occasionally.

I played the scratch-off tickets when the California Lottery began in 1985. Later I played Lotto (came out in 1986) and played a few other versions of various games: Decco (card related game), discontinued, Fantasy 5, Daily Derby and Daily 3*.

Haven't played in a while but will get back to playing it soon. My parents would buy tickets only if the Super Lotto jackpot gets pretty high. ($30 million, $50 million, etc).

*Daily 3 offers two drawings each day. Mid-day and evening.

I forgot about Decco until you mentioned it.

BTW, does your username refer to "93 KHJ?" I've got a lot of their old "Top 30" lists from years ago- oldest is from June 1972 up to Sept. 1980 when they stopped printing them.

My dad would buy Powerball tickets if he had a couple bucks left over after buying gas, but now that it's $1.87 a gallon, it always ends up over $20, so no extra. So when the pot gets big, he goes in with some guys at work.

80's fan i agree with you. I don't like wasting money for nothin either & the lottery is definitely a waste of money. It's amazing to me how many blacks play the lottery everyday just wasting their money so they can try & get rich. My grandfather used to play the lottery twice a day before he died. He used to tell me that i would waste money buying music tapes & cd's. He had a lot of nerve to tell me that when he wasted his money playing the lottery LOL. Even if he did hit the lotto, he would never tell my grandmother or anybody so he could keep the money to himself LOL.

My dad won like, $300 or something playing the lottery with the guys at work, and we didn't find out about it until like 2 months later. Greedy. :nonono:
