Maybe because NAN aired the entire them song.

I remember the butchered theme! I Love the Full One! In the Cut One, they used the worst parts of the theme!

I wondering why the theme song had more words than I'd heard before.

"We are in troublllle." -Tootie
"Make that a doublllle." - Natalie

May I ask, exactly how did TBS air it? What do you mean by butchered theme? How? Cut down, removed, or what?

Here in Scandinavia, I have only heard one version of the theme song (exactly 1 minute long) - Although it was different singers in season 1, but the length and lyrics was still the same...

Hi I'm new to the message board. I have really enjoyed the Nick at Nite marathon. As to why the episodes on NAN seem better than the ones on TBS its possilbe that we are more awake when they are on NAN? If memory serves TBS was airing the show at 6:30AM EST or thereabouts as oppposed to NAN airing in prime time! Its customary when shows are in syndication to edit theme songs and episodes so they have more time to sell commercials. This is done by the company which is distributing the show for syndication.

TBS and most syndication in the US airs the theme song from the "What would we do baby, without us" line of the chorus, and not from the begining "I bet we've been together for a million years."

The "Cheers" theme is cut in syndication, too, jumping right to the chorus where they sing "Sometimes you want to go..." I hope N@N restores this as well when they begin airing it.

Of course, the switch to N@N from TBS has its share of pitfalls. There's a possibility that episodes concerning real life crisis will be skipped.

That doesn't make much sense - In that case, the cut part is just 30 seconds, so why would they remove such short parts...? It doesn't really make much sense to me.

That version starting with "What would we do" does sound familiar though - I think they aired that version a short period of time during a later rerun here in Sweden, although all other times they have aired the complete version.

My guess is by cutting the theme by 30 seconds they can fit in another commercial. And it's all about the money.
