Have you ever broken a bone?

I have. I broke 2 fingers and let me tell you the pain was excrutiating. :eek:

Yeah, when I was in third grade, I was in a sledding accident that broke my right collarbone. Fortunately, I have no memory of the accident at all because I blacked out upon impact.

I got hit by a car when I was 16 and broke my foot. I had a cast and had to use crutches. It was no fun.

Nope. Had stitches, but nothing broken. Dislocated, yes. And that hurts pretty bad too.

So far I've broken my left clavicle (collarbone), and I still have the ugly ass scar to show for it. I also smashed the tip of my right middle finger last year, and when I was five I fractured my skull. I still don't think that's healed.

OUCH! :eek: I hope you don't remember much of it...That sounds sooo painful. :(

When I was five years old, I tripped and fell over my own foot and split my left eyebrow open...I had to get three stitches. Fortunately, you can't see the scar unless you look at my eyebrow really closely.

same here; have sprained my foot and other things but never broke a bone; and let's keep it that way because I can't tolerate pain of any kind.

I broke my pinky finger in the third grade and it never actually straightened out correctly! As i grow it gets more and more crooked!! It's on my wedding hand too!!!!!! It looks really bad!!

From first grade through graduation I was practically on crutches every other year. I have broken both my ankles numerous times, I broke my wrist a few times punching some things that were not made for bunches. I broke my nose once.....as for surgeries, I've had 5.

My worst injury was when I broke and dislocated my lefy ankle. I was rushed to the hospital in an ambulance and had emergency surgery the next morning b/c it was like midnight by the time I got to the hospital. I had 4 screws put in my leg that day.

No breaks, I've been pretty lucky in that department. Just several dislocations at the knee, and one surgery.

I've broken my arm. And i recently sprained my wrist (like, not even a month ago)

I've broken many bones in the fingers of both hands, a couple of my fingers are crooked and most of my knuckles are pretty bad lookin

i've had my nose broken 4 times - it doesnt look too bad, but the cartilage is pretty much all loose in there

i've broken ribs on two different occasions, with one time puncturing my lung.

that said, I've never broken any MAJOR bones or had any major surgery (worst I've had was a number of arthroscopic knee surgeries)

No I'm very lucky, but I bruised my muscle tissue in a horsebackriding accident three years ago. I couldn't lift my left arm for quite a while. It was awful. I stopped riding after that but I got back on the horse last spring. And I'm doing jumps again now.

Turns out the bones in my left wrist re-healed when looked at with an x-ray from something else...........

I am very careful now when on my bike!! (I try to be anyway) I usually walk my bike as I am scared.......

I broke my foot and fractured my skull both in the same year (1987).

That was also the year that I had chicken pox.

I've had issues with stress fractures in my feet.

No broken bones, but I came close to a bad knee impact injury this winter.

I crashed my bike and broke 3 ribs.

Don't even bother going to the ER. It will heal on it's own.
