Wings never jumped the shark in my opinion, its just that towards the last few seasons- '96, '97, it kind of turned into a Soap Opera at times. With Brian whining about his love life (or lack thereof) and Helen and Joe being married makes the chemisty kind of lost.

And did anyone notice how they tried to make Joe more quirky, and Brian more respsonible towards the end? It didnt really work. The show is great, its just that I like the earlier episodes- up to the early Casey ones. But after Lowell left, it kind of lost steam.

You and every other Wings fan in the free world.
I can't stand the episodes after Lowell left in the same way I can't stand Boy Meets World after Mr. Turner got run over or whatever.

The middle years for me. 1992 was when they really started hitting their stride. I didn't mind the post-Lowell era, some of their best ones were in '95-96, such as the Elanor Kingsbury one or the Tracy Hayes/Lou episode. The last year or so was a struggle, like Brian's nightclub or Raging Bull****. The early years had Brian trying to be too funny and Joe a little too stiff.

The earlier episodes were great, especially the christmas episodes.. Wings had the best Christmas specials out of any sitcom I seen... and I have seen alot of sitcoms.. But I believe Wings was at is best in Season 6.. The entire was just great, episode after episode was fantastic..

I don't think Wings ever lost steam after Lowell left. I will say it lost some of the great humor that Lowell brought to the show. He added an element that I have seen no other show duplicate. There are episodes that he is just side-splitting in. But, I will say that even though Season 8 had some not-so-good episodes, it still had some great moments. I loved the entire Wings series and I guess if I was to complain about anything, it would be the seasons where Alex was on. The only reason I had a problem with this is because there were too many episodes where they had Brian and Joe just lusting over her. They only should have had a couple of those.

Oh, yes ! The Christmas episodes were great. My fav was the one with the lady who had the stroke. It was very cool, and I'm a Christian, so it hit home with me.

I dont mind the later years. The middle years are ok. The earliest ones with Casey, I like. Because I do like redheads. But the last 2 Seasons turned kind of Soap Operish and Joe tries to become goofy like Brian, while Brian turns into cynical Joe. Just not the best. Still good, though.
