I was wondering, the first three seasons were released on DVD in production order. Now in the 4th season volume, the episodes are in airdate order. What's up? Have any other Sony releases been in airdate order???

Season 2 of What's Happening was in airdate order but I'm not sure if it's a Sony release

Actually, I mispoke, so far all of What's Happening!! has been released in airdate order by (Columbia Tri-Star) now Sony.

I guess, I'm puzzled, why they suddenly changed it for Good Times. Now I wonder what future releases from Sony will be in. Like the upcoming Jeffersons release and All in the Family.

I'm thinking for the 5th season, it may be released in airdate order as well. However the 6th season will have to be in production order, since a couple episodes never aired during the original run.

The 5th season would have to be in airdate order because the production order doesn't make sense. The first ep of season five is (501) Breaker, Breaker and Penny is in that ep for some reason without ever being introduced. Then the abuse eps folows which is 502-505.
