View Full Version : The Study of Seinfeld sinatrastar 10-12-2003, 10:59 PM **EDIT** jlovee 02-28-2005, 02:03 PM Currently, I am taking an online course for a masters in sociology. We have formed different Special Interest Groups and one of the SIG's I am in is titled "Television and Society." The goal of this group is to research wether "TV reflects Society or Society reflects TV." The group has been using this website as a reference for our research. What do you guys think? I would love your input and I am excited to join the Seinfeld forum. I am in the process of watching the season 3 episodes. Love me some Seinfeld!! Thanks for your time and I look forward to your input!!! Seinatra 02-28-2005, 07:04 PM Sounds like we are being used as guinea pigs for your class. Can you be more specific on what you are looking for? Also, you should probably post this as a new thread in the room because I am not sure how many people will find it in this Welcome To The Board thread. As to the question I think it is almost half of each, but it is almost a chicken v. egg type situation. For us hard core fans, we probable reflect the show more than the show reflects us. jlovee 03-23-2005, 04:24 PM Thank you for your suggestion. I will post it in the regular forum. I don't mean to make you feel like I am just using the people of the Seinfeld forum. I am a true fan and will more than likely continue to "hang around" even after the class is over. Again, thank you so much for your input!! Take care! Seinatra 03-23-2005, 04:34 PM I was only joking with the guinea pig remark jlovee. Brian Damage 03-23-2005, 11:27 PM I hope you stick around. |
