Freeman might just be the greatest living actor. AngeFaitore 02-28-2005, 02:48 PM Too bad he didn't win.... but I think loosing to Morgan Freeman is nothing to go home mad about. I cried puddles because I was so happy and I couldn't believe that Thomas... our Lowell Mather... was at a huge celebrity event. It seems as though the media no longer cares about the cast of Sideways (Or Thomas, at least) because there weren't any photos of Thomas from the Govenors Ball after party. I have a new favorite picture (Thomas on the red carpet): http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v400/AngeFaitore/ThomasOscar11.jpg HuntingtonM15 02-28-2005, 02:57 PM Too bad he didn't win.... but I think loosing to Morgan Freeman is nothing to go home mad about. If I was a member of the Academy, I would have had a hard time choosing between the two. barwars 02-28-2005, 04:04 PM Thomas looked very handsome. Best Adapted Screenplay is an honor, but its not the big-wig awards like Best Actor or Best Movie. I wish we could see a list of who came in 1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc. I'd be willing to bet THC is a close second. AngeFaitore 02-28-2005, 06:36 PM It all depended on who won. Janice 02-28-2005, 11:23 PM I was rooting for Thomas Haden Church. He was fantastic in Sideways. I was happy for Morgan Freeman, and he was wonderful in Million Dollar Baby. I just think that Church had a better role. He's young, and has plenty of time. The nomination will elevate his status, and he'll be offered better roles. He's one talented guy. Thanks for saying that Thomas is young! A lot of people think that he's in his 60s or something. |
