The actress that played Mrs. Roper was an attractive lady but I think the poofed-up curly hair and the gaudy housedresses made her look almost clown-like on the show.

BTW, she was in an episode of Chico and the Man in 1974 or 1975 and I almost didn't recognize her when I saw the rerun-- she had short, straight hair in a real cute style and looked much younger than she did on Three's Company.

Yes, they were probably trying to make her look like she was in her 50's, but she was probably only really in her 40's.

Yeah, that episode was a great opportunity to see Mrs. Roper's exposed legs. So that said, what about Mr. Roper? I believe he did wear shorts in one episode, but I don't recall which one. I know that in the episode where they played strip poker, we saw Mr. Furley's bare chest as he came out with no shirt on. But I'm quite sure that Mr. Roper never appeared topless.

Back to the episode, I liked the part when Janet tells Mrs. Roper that she should bend her knees instead of her legs when reaching down while wearing a miniskirt.

Yes, Terri had great legs, but Janet had fantastic legs too! There were some episodes when she was wearing skirts and high heels - Ooo :) She was chosen for Leggs commercials back then and they wouldn't have picked her if she didn't had great legs.

yeah that red wig and outfits made her look BLAH, we can see that she was nice looking. kind of like katey sagal on married with children not being that attractive with that red hair but off camera she was attractive
