Well, unless I hear that I'm going back to work tomorrow, I'll watch the whole thing.

Can't wait to see Chris Rock bomb.

I love the Oscars and wish I could watch all of it. Unfortunately, I'm working tomorrow at 5 am, so I'll have to go to bed early. Maybe I'll record it.

Question - What is the official start time of the awards ceremony?

I don't give a crap about the red carpet stuff, what time does the actual show start?

JT

The only awards show I ever watch anymore is The Daytime Emmys, so nope.

I just checked my local listings, lol, and it has it at 8:30 on ABC. What, you don't care who's wearing Vera Wang, Halston, etc?

It's all nonsense. Besides, you know I'm a Calvin Klein man...

Who's handling the red carpet interviews? Probably obnoxious Joan Rivers and her equally obnoxious daughter...or are they on E! So hard to keep things straight.

No. I haven't seen any of those movies that are nominated, anyways.

I just hope that Lowell wins something for that movie he's in. That would be fun.

I saw Sideways, and Thomas Haden Church stole the show, so I'm rooting for him too. I don't think he'll win though. Morgan Freeman is favored to win for Million Dollar Baby.

Joan amd Melissa are now on the TV Guide channel.
I believe Star Jones handles all the sucking up for E!

Yes, I can't wait. I've been anxiously waiting for a while now. Even though Hilary is favored to win, I'm still really nervous about that category.

I'll be watching it mainly for clips, buzz about the nominees and the entertainment, but not for the awards themselves, which I find boring - even annoying at times, eg. "I'm the king of the world!" - James Cameron, Titanic's director and fulltime assclown.

Oh yeah I'll watch the memorials to see if they even give a smidgeon of mention for my beloved Ruth Warrick...but for the rest, I'll be watching The Dukes of Hazzard and my DH tapes.

I think Ruth Warrick will be included in the "In Memorium" segment of the show. I would be very surprised if she wasn't. She was a Hollywood star before her daytime career. It's usually about three quarters into the show.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking too. Ever since I learned she was in Citizen Kane, I've always wanted to see it. And I find it so ironic that she was in that movie, Citizen Kane. Talk about foreshadowing...

:( Unbelievable. They mentioned agents, camermen, you name it, but not a Hollywood icon.

Why don't I find that shocking...

They do the same thing at the Emmys too. It's pathetic that they don't include everyone.

I only was curious to find out what film got the Oscar for "Best Picture" It was "Million Dollar Baby". I hoped "Ray" would win for that title, but I was pleased Jamie Foxx won the Best Actor Oscar for his part portraying legendary Ray Charles!

Frankly, I'm sick of awards shows. I mean, how many times a year do people in Hollywood need to applaud themselves, while we watch? Are they really that egotistical, or just really neurotic?

And no, I didn't watch. Surprise, surprise. ;)
