Stupid NBC could've at least stuck with the series during it's final season instead of pulling it off and then bringing it back. Well at least they showed the series finale but still that was pretty low.

I think they're just following the order as it's listed on tvtome.com. The finale episodes are the last two in terms of production order numbers, so it'll be interesting to see once (if) season six is released on dvd where they place the unaired episodes and the series finale.

The way those episodes were always shown out of sequence is very ********. How much effort does it take to move the last 2 episodes to follow those other shows? If this were a show like the Jeffersons where there was no real continuity from one episode to the next it wouldn't matter, but ADW had an extremely intricate degree of continuity form one episode to the next.

They ran out of order in local syndication as well. It's been that way ever since those episodes were syndicated. I guess no one ever wrote in to voice a complaint about it or whoever owns the show said "screw you all".

With the station you're talking about, it's not just those last few episodes. They'd jump from mid-season 3 to season 4 back to season 2.

I remember when our Fox affiliate in Atlanta aired the reruns, they actually aired them in its correct production order. I think NBC could have did more with the show during the last season.

I don't think a network is concerned about doing anything with a show when the ratings are getting lower and lower. That was the case with ADW during it's last season

I remember when Cosby started his 8th season of TCS, it was also said that ADW was going to end that yr also. Those were my two fav shows back then.

Yea and at the beginning of the 6th season nobody knew that was their last season. NBC had hoped that ADW could anchor their Thursday night lineup. I was really surprised when the ratings went as low as they did.

I don't really know. I remember it got paired with a show called Rhythm And Blues. That was just an awful show and that got yanked pretty fast. ADW only lasted a few months longer before it went on hiatus. At least NBC did air the last episode though.

When Dwayne and Whitley got married and the original gang had graduated, most people figured what else was really left for the show to do. Also, 'Martin' and 'The Simpsons' on FOX Thursdays were kicking ass back then. Some could argue the theory that The Cosby Show carried A Different World.

Yea I watched those 2 shows for awhile too. I didn't care for Out All Night much. Here and Now wasn't to bad but Malcolm seemed to be playing the same Theo character he did in the last year of TCS.

I think what hurted those shows the most were the timeslots. ABC dominated Fridays with TGIF hands down. If you remembered, thats when 'Out All Night' came on and then 'A Different World' was moved there before they pulled it until the end of the season. On Saturdays, Nickelodeon created 'SNICK' creating a new night of original programming for teens and young adults, thus pulling viewers away.

Looking back at it, Fresh Prince never provided a good lead in for anyone. Ferris Buller only lasted a season, Blossom lasted four and a half and In the House lasted a year and a half. The old 8-9pm timeframe on Mondays for NBC was tough to fill.
