So Miss Thompson, the school nurse called June from the school and June went to the school to fetch Beaver because he had a ring stuck on his finger. Big deal. So why did June take a taxi to the school? Beaver is 8 years old and walks to school - the school couldn't have been far from the Cleaver home if a little boy could walk the distance twice a day. So why couldn't June walk to the school? So why did June need a taxi to take her to the school? And why did Wally have to go to the school with her? So Beaver had a ring stuck on his finger. Big deal. Why did June act like it was a earth shattering crisis?

It just shows you how June can be overprotectivw. She probably blew the whole incident out of proportion because she was afraid of what Aunt Martha would say when she found out about the ring getting stuck on Beaver's finger.

I bet you are right. I would hate to get Aunt Martha mad

They should have cut the finger off! Maybe he would think twice before disobeying his parents again.
