I am looking for a specific episode of Unsolved Mysteries-
This is the story I'm looking for:
In the late 70's-early 80s, 3 young girls were killed in Springfield,Vermont
by a serial killer. The police caught him when an intended victim escaped and
gave police his description. While this was going on in Vermont, Just across
the Connecticut River less than 20 miles away from Springfield, Vermont another serial killer was at work in New Hampshire .Six women were brutally stabbed to death in the early to mid 1980's by a murderer who roamed the
Connecticut River Valley bordering New Hampshire and Vermont. The killings
took place in Claremont,New Hampshire.Another killings took place
just up the road in White River Junction,Vermont. and one in Saxtons
River,VT.The killings stopped when the killer stabbed a woman several times
in Swanzey,NH and left her for dead.Miraculously,She survived and provided
police with a detailed description of her attacker and the vehicle he was
in.Despite this information, law enforcement was unsuccessful in catching
him. Then on October 24,1990 Unsolved Mysteries found the case so fascinating
that they devoted 2 segments of the show to it.(Repeated again on April
10,1991).Lifetime has repeated the segments as well.A book was written about it-"The Shadow Of Death " by Phillip E. Ginsburg.Despite all the publicity
and the best investigative efforts of law enforcement including the
FBI,the case remains to this day,an unsolved mystery.
I have only seen the segments once back when NBC aired Unsolved Mysteries.I am very interested in seeing the segments
Any help you can provide would be appreciated.
