You've been waiting for this word, and the word - finally - is "go"! Reliable retail sources have told us that we can expect Mary Tyler Moore - The Complete 2nd Season to make it to DVD at last this coming Summer. Fox will release the entire second season of the show in a single box set, not in split-seasons like they've done with the later seasons of Lost in Space.
We haven't heard yet if the set will contain any extras, even though it's been rumored that extras were recorded a long time ago. Still, with or without extras, fans - who have become very pessimistic over the future of the series - should be rather excited with this news. Love is all around once more...spread the word!
Lady T 02-24-2005, 12:13 AM It is ABOUT time.... :D
robyrob 02-24-2005, 12:37 AM i only wonder if they are going to make the same mistake they did on the first season by pricing it out of the range of what the majority of fans are willing to pay.
I waited and got the first season for $18, but I think that it originally sold for $60 - $70, if Season two is in the same price range, it could fall into the same trap.

Sitcoms Online (http://www.sitcomsonline.com/boards/showthread.php?p=2347936) announced it yesterday. Either way, it's good news. I just picked up the first season set a few months ago (unfortunately for a bit more than robyrob's $18) and I'm glad that after such a long delay, season 2 will be out soon.
Lolac 02-24-2005, 07:37 AM Yeah! It is about time!!! I hope they get it right this time!!

Larry Surrell 02-24-2005, 09:58 PM And there was much rejoicing (YAY) :D
I hope they sell enough to justify releasing the rest of the series on DVD.

maryfan5 03-07-2005, 02:46 PM I hope they're a little more creative with the DVD cover art this time. They should really use a cast photo instead of just Mary standing there with an uncharacteristic closed-mouth smile. A great rarity to include on the Extras would be a Pepsodent commercial Mary did at the start of the 2nd season. I used to have it on VHS but it got accidentally erased. :(
