Hi,

I'm Cindy. Even when I lived in Los Angeles, I noted that rarely could I watch an installment of UM and not hear Oklahoma mentioned in some way.

My home state is smack in the middle, which may have something to do with it. But also, there are only about three million people here in the state. That's less than in Dallas, TX.

Are there any other Oklahomans on here and have you noted the same? I'd love to get a true list of each story/episode number that applies.

Best, Cindy

It's funny that you write this cindysong... I thought that my homestate of North Carolina seemed to get a lot of attention on UM too... but I think that it just seems like it to people when you hear your homestate or a neighboring state mentioned, your ears perk up more and you really seem to remember the story... jmo...

Yeah, but considering there are less people in Oklahoma than there is in Dallas.....it seems a fomidble number.

Also, Oklahoma is right in the middle, so many of the mentions are people passing through.

Now that you guys break int down by the numbers it kinda puts all the crap that happens in my home state of New York into perspective. The producers must be from Oklahoma:D

Conversely, I have always felt my home state (Ohio) has been largely ignored by national media. For example, here (http://www.ohio.com/mld/beaconjournal/14089706.htm) is a local case that is causing quite a stir at home, for obvious reasons. I don't get to watch much television these days, so I don't know if the national press is covering it or not, but I wouldn't be surprised if most of the country hasn't even heard about it yet.

If found guilty, I really hope this vermin receives a swift and brutal execution.

Absolutely Cindy, In fact, every time there is a Lost love update my wife blurts out "I bet they're in Oklahoma". Sure enough, it seems as though she's right about 7 out of 10 times. Oklahoma is in the house.

I first noticed this when I lived in California....many, many times OK will be mentioned if not the actual location of a piece...and that happens often too!

Do you happen to know the names in the Long Lost Reunion episode and the lady who was struck by lightning and cured while living in Edmond?
