So, i guess all of you who purchased this set must have viewed it by now...what do u think?

My feeling is it's not that the stuff included isnt good...by and large, it is, but just that there are loads of cases that could have been included but arent...

this is especially true of the early UM series, which do seem to have been largely overlooked in compiling this set....why?

One case which i would have thought would have been perfect for this set is the Lisa Marie Kimmel case.....i know it's now been solved, but they could have explained this part of the case through use of the update feature (which is made use of on this set in other far less interesting cases)

Basically, another Bizarre Murders set is required to cover all those (early) cases that arent featured here, but i gather that the sets have not sold well, so i guess this is unlikely?

Is anyone else surprised that the sets have not been good sellers, given how popular the series was?

Are the 6 UM sets going to be the beginning and end of UM on DVD? Discuss!!

So far, I only have the Ghosts set. But I'm considering buying more UM sets, especially the Strange Legends set.

You ask whether the 6 sets will be "the beginning and end of UM on DVDs." For now, my best answer is: only time will tell.

As for the reported low sales, it's both a surprise and a disppointment. I think the sets would probably sell better if they were repeatedly advertised on television. If there were any TV ads for them, I never saw them. TV ads may not guarantee high sales all the time, but they are very helpful.

I'm extremely satisfied with this dvd

Sure, you could complain about all 6 dvds having the new themesong instead of the classic original music, or not having the promos of the upcoming story that were ran before the commercial break of all episodes, and you could complian about the lack of special features

but all of thats not what I paid for, those would just be bonus's. I paid for these stories in perfect DVD quality and got what I wanted. therefore, I'm satisfied

they also did a great job selecting, the only story that doesnt belong on his dvd is the World Leaders story, which was still interesting. I know they left off many great segments, but I can't make an arguement against the other 31 of these stories not deserving to be on it.

I saw some on Lifetime during Unsolved Mysteries, but other than that, I did not, and they were for the UFO's, Ghosts, and Miracles sets.

I need to get my tail to the store and buy it.

I'm guessing that the commercials have been only shown on Lifetime. If that guess is right, then that means it was limited advertising. Had the UM DVD sets been advertised more widely and more vigorously, the sales would probably have been higher. Besides, chances are, a lot of UM viewers might not even realize that the show is available on home video.
