I used to be. I was on Zoloft from Nov. 1999 (when I was 16) to February 2004 (when I was 20), so about 4 years. It worked very well for my anxiety and the only bad side effect it really had was I lost a lot of weight on it or just had a very low appetite.

It helped me very much. My parents finally suggested that I try and go off of it last year because I seemed to be doing much better, so I did, and I havent' gone back on it since.

Every time I think about going off Paxil, something happens that I wouldn't be able to handle without it. So next month I have to go back to the doctor and tell him to keep me on it.

me? I dunno...no more than any other antidepressant I suppose. I mean, one time I went off it and I got sick, but when you mess with brain chemicals, that happens.

I just remember how I used to be in situations, and I was a lot worse off the Paxil than I am on it.

yeah, i was told NOT to miss any doses or it can really **** your brain up. lexapro is non addictive though, which is good...he said theyre going to up my dose when i go back next week and if that doesnt work then theyll put me on a tranquilizer

I miss doses all the time, so now I'm very screwed up. Take the advice.

i dont even know what the hell i'm on, i think lexapro still. i can't determine whether it or any other antidepressant i've taken works because i've been taking them for so long i don't know what the difference would be. only that i got addicted to paxil and about two years ago we tried to make me quit taking it cold turkey, and that whole day i was crying and thinking about suicide. i'm not on it any more though.

Lexapro and Nortyptaline... one doesn't work without the other.

I was on Prozac and then a very high dose of Zoloft, and neither worked. Zoloft took away my appetite, which killed me. I love food.

I had the same problem with Zoloft, lost so much weight that they took me off it.
