Are you glad you weren't named differently? peter may 02-20-2005, 07:25 AM yes, other names for me were "Danny" and "Kieron", I prefer Peter though Michael [hXc] 02-20-2005, 08:55 AM well, my dad wanted to name me Joseph, my mom wanted to name me Evan. my dad didn't like the name Evan so he suggested i would be named after him. so my mom decided on the name Michael, and Joseph is my middle name. i would have preferred Michael Evan, but at least i wasn't named after anyone. He said that 'Karen' would be perfect in case I ever moved to America(I was born in Puerto Rico and most names are in Spanish) that I had an English name that no one would have trouble with pronouncing. Kristina 02-20-2005, 07:55 PM my mother was going to name me stephanie but thought kristina wasn't that common and sounded pretty, i hate it. it is pretty common now 2. i wish she would have just named me suga instead. or something cute. like cupcake. i mean i named 1 of my kitties cookie bcuz i didnt want her to go through life with a gay name like betty or sumfin. but w/e. My grandmother wanted to name me 'Maura', but my parents hated that name. So I got stuck with Karly. It's okay I guess. I don't like the spelling. Karleigh would have been better. They just always wanted to name me Kristina. Once I was born, my mom actually wanted to name me Maria Christina :eek: but luckily my dad didn't like it and suggested Kristina Marie instead.
