I figured this board would be a quick way to ask, and I know quite a few of you guys have "In Living Color" on DVD.

ILC was one of my mom's most fave shows when I was a little kid. I remember my mom watching ILC all the time when I was growing up - and I remember a skit in particular that aired 14-15 years ago. I've remembered it to this day...But I can never explain what that skit was about. Somebody played a lady named Wanda (I think she was black) in that skit, and I believe Jim Carrey was also in it. I remember at one point in that skit, Wanda crossed her eyes, opened her mouth (as if to clench her teeth), then she moved it, stuck her fingers out and moved them in a Figure-8 motion.

HEEEEEEEEEELP...I want to see that skit again! Today is my mom's b-day, and I got her the ILC S1 DVD, so hopefully that skit is on there... Thanks!

If you feel this needs to be moved, Vashti, just do so. :)

No problem, I'll leave it here. Jamie Foxx played the Wanda character. I don't have either of the first two seasons on dvd, but I'm pretty positive it's not on the season 1 set because Jamie Foxx wasn't one of the original cast members. It may possibly be season two, or may come up on the season three set. But just going by the ILC marathon I watched on FX last year, you won't see Wanda in season 1.

Thanks! Yeah, I had a vague memory of Wanda being played by a black man dressed in drag. ;)

Mother's Day is coming up in May, so I'll get her the ILC S2 DVD. Hopefully that's on there...I really want to see that skit again. I haven't seen it since its original airing.

out of curiousity. Are the ILC DVD's edited or not? I know there's tons of music clearance so I wondered if some of the Fly Girl sequences were removed, or if Fox bent over backwards and preserved the show as it originally aired.

I'm wondering that too.

Jamie Foxx (I think) made his debut in the 3rd season (which will be out in April or May...I forget but Fox made an official announcement about it)

He isn't on the 1st or 2nd season

I swear I was at -LEAST- five to six years old when I saw this skit. It had to be either from 1990 to 1991 but NO LATER than August 1992 when I saw that skit. It's driving me nuts.

Yes, Jamie Foxx was in the 2nd season. It says he joined the cast in 1991. So it had to be around there.

It may have been the third season. ILC's third season was '91-'92, so it may not have necessarily been the 2nd season. As a Prince fan, I remember very well the sketch Jamie did as Prince wearing the assless pants (that Prince wore at the Sept. '91 MTV Awards) and Jamie was a relatively new face on In Living Color at the time, so I would bet the sketch you're intersted in is a season 3 sketch.

BTW, almost for that reason alone, I'm more interested in getting the season 3 set than I was the first two.

I may just skip getting S2 for my mom for Mother's Day and get her S3 instead, just so I can watch that skit again.

Season 2 does not have Jamie Foxx in it. On season 2 they do have the fly girls dancing. It just seems they took the commercials out.

We have all 3 seasons of In Living Color on DVD. Do anyone know when will FOX release the remaining seasons of the series?

considering Fox usually adheres to their patterns of every 6 months, I think we'll see season 4 out in the fall and season 5 in about a year.

Unfortunately, season 3 is highly cut.
