So, why did Karen Austin leave the show? Her character was my favorite (and she was darned cute besides!).

That seems odd. It always seemed to me that she had good chemistry with the cast.

Besides, I missed her sparkling eyes. Sigh.

She had some chemistry with Harry Anderson, I thought, but not with the rest of the cast. Ellen Foley had excellent chemistry with Anderson -- and Weege totally used and abused her.

Paula Kelly had chemistry with no one, so that wasn't much of a surprise.
I liked Markie Post better then Ellen Foley.

Karen Austin did have chemistry with Harry Anderson though but in the end I like the cast that eventurally emerged.

I agree w/ you there about Karen Austin. At least she wasn't too "wifey" as Markie Post was and wasa way better actor than Ellen Foley. Ellen Foley couldn't act to save her own life!

Yes, I saw that ep last night. And I didn't care for her there, of course, you weren't supposed to.

But I do love her character on "Night Court". It's too bad that she was let go, I also think she had great chemistry with Harry Anderson. And my favorite ep in Season 1 so far is, "Wonder Drug" where she has wild side-effects to her medication and ends up lip-locking Harry. ;) lol

But I really love Christine too. And one of my favorite moments that I can remember with her and Harry is when she plans on moving from NY after finding out she's pregnant.

I really disliked the Lana character. As for the acting - Karen Austin seemed to have strange timing or something. I'm not exactly sure what it was about her that I didn't like. She was just irritating.
