Does anyone know if he is still alive? thanks

Someone told me he died. I didn't see him listed dead on IMDB.com.

Very strange about him. He worked rather steady in the 1970s and then VANISHED in 1978after a guest appearance on The Jeffersons. There is no mention of him dying, or what he did after 1978. Its like a mystery . . .
