He has reached the point in his life when it's time to hand the job over to someone else. Walter Cronkite is still not the CBS Evening News Anchor over the age of 80.

The man's 81 years old...a little senility comes with the territory. For what it's worth, he actually seems to have regained himself mentally, by and large, the last couple of years.

The show, now, is probably the best it's been in the last 15 years.

Age is not the de facto factor in whether someone is qualified to host a television program. Bob is 81 years old, and is in better mental and physical shape than a ***LOT*** of people twenty years younger.

I'd like to see YOU be 81, and still be capable of doing the things Bob does

I still watch the show quite often. In fact, I was watching it when it was almost new. It started in Sept., 1972 and I was still in grade school. I graduated from grade school in June, 1973, so it must have been the first ('72-'73) season. I was home by the time the show came on (I forgot the time; I think 2:00 PM). A neighborhood kid and I watched it at his house, sometimes we watched the following show ("Dinah," as in Dinah Shore).

Anyway, it's still is a fun show to watch and Bob seems to be very alert. I noticed he sometimes adds the prices before it is done for him on his viewer screen. Senility does not automatically come with old age. People mistake it for that because by the time a person is 80 years old, his/her brain has much more information stored than someone who is 40 years old and it takes longer to draw from that info.

I think Bob should stay on as the host as long as he enjoys it, and he does seem to still have fun doing it.

We'll see Bob quit when we see the battle of the Richards on Family Feud. In other words, never.

I think Bob Barker should continue to host it as long as he is able. The show won't be the same without him.

Bob Barker is the man. Wouldnt be "The Price Is Right" without him.

I love that movie, I still have it on VHS copied off of Fox-5 two years ago. I love Bob Barker and I still love "The Price Is Right".

I forgot to mention a few things about Bob Barker/The Price is Right...

I recorded some episodes in 1985 (and other years). Anyway, I have about four episodes in which Bob still had brown hair and when Johnny Olsen was the announcer.

If Barker still feels up to it, then I say go for it. I saw Art Linkletter on a talk show last night. He's 93, looks great and has a razor sharp wit. Some people just age better than others. Linkletter credited his positive outlook on life to his longevity.

Only thing is Bob is now 99 and in somewhat bad health to the point that he rarely if ever, goes outside his house. That’s what I read.
