... that gorgeous CLOWN COOKIE JAR in the Cleaver kitchen! Oh, I would love to have that thing! Does anyone know what it is? McCoy? When I was a kid mom had a pig in a burlap bag cookie jar. The pig was cutsey cartoony, brown, smiling and sitting in a green burlap bag eating cookies. The jar was china of course. The pig was the lid. I don't remember when mom got rid of the jar but I've looked for years at flea markets and have never found a similar one. The jar must have dated from late 50s - very early 60s at the latest. I think it's sweet to have a really cute cookie jar in the kitchen.

June's sweaters. In the past couple of episodes, she's worn two or three that are absolutely darling!

From the picture I can tell that it is a McCoy Pottery cookie jar and it was made in the mid 1950's. Called "Clown in a Pink Barrel", today it is worth anywhere from $140 to $250 dollars, depending on condition. A lot of this type cookie jar would lose some of its paint, decreasing the value. Also, the bottom of the inside of the jar would turn somewhat brown, due to shortening used in cookies.
