Do you have love/hate relationships with any songs? I do. I have a love/hate relationship with "You Gotta be" by Des'ree. I remember first hearing that song when I was around 10, for a promo for Good Morning America. The commercial showed a sunrise with clouds in the sky, and they were playing the chorus of the song. Then I saw her perform it live. I asked my mother, "Is that her?" My mom said yes. Des'ree looked nothing like how I thought she would look like from her voice. Oh well.... Ever since then, I have had a love/hate relationship with that song. 101.5 Lite Fm plays that song constantly.... ;) Sometimes, I am like, "This song again"?!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh please just finish, i don't wanna hear this song." Then, sometimes, I am like this song is good. At least I know what song it is from the first chords/beats...... :)

I remember when that song first came out. I thought it was pretty good then. Now, I can't stand it!

"I Believe I Can Fly" by R. Kelly. I could not stand it at first, then I softened up and started to like it. Then, I came to my senses and thought it was saccharine. It's been Back and forth and back and forth ever since... I'm still conflicted about this tune. :)

"Cryin'" by Aerosmith. The radio stations nearly wore that song out and I got beyond sick of it, I would turn it off the second I heard it. Then I just heard it the other day and not only did I leave it on, but I sang along!!

"Your Body Is A Wonderland" by John Mayer.

I learned to love that song from a certain person.

Now I hate it because it reminds me of the same person.

A few of Whitney Houston's 80s songs. I liked them, then I couldn't stand them, then I liked them again, now I can't stand them again.

I agree with Desree's You Gotta Be.I wasn't fond of the song when i first heard, when i was younger, but now the lyrics are really good to me,and I love the song.
More recently, one song that has grown on me is Rich Girl by Gwen Stefani. Its ok now,but i still hate the constant "Nana nana nana nana".

Hey There Lonely Girl - I didn't like the guys voice abit too too high now I like it.

I Will Survive - If I hear it more than once a year I'm o.k with it! More than once I can't stand it! Reason: she repeats the same words over and over again which makes the song seem really really long!!!

America's "A Horse With No Name" The music is good, and it has one good lyric - "The ocean is a desert with its life on the ground and the perfect disguise above" - but the rest of the song is stupid, especially the line "The heat was hot" - what else would heat be?

And as Richard Jeni once said of being through the desert on a horse with no name, "You're in the desert. You got nothing else to do. NAME THE FREAKIN' HORSE!"
