I like rachel because she build a resturant called Rachel's Place.And if i played on the family matters i could go to rachel's place.

I used to get frustrated when she wasn't on the show because I would be concerned if she was leaving or not. In 1992, she began production for the series "Getting By" so her time on FM had to be shared with her other project. She did not appear in some episodes and she appeared in fewer scenes. After the Getting By Project was complete, she went back to Family Matters full time although it seemed she was only in one sceners. Her last appearance was in the season finale of 1993 and then she went back to Getting By when NBC picked it up on the fall schedule following Saved By the Bell:The College Years. So there was not mention of what happened to Rachel on FM during the 93-94 season. She was not even referred to. In the Fall of 1994 a dream came true, Telma came back to the show after the first few new eps for that season had aired. I could not believe it. (Getting By was canceled, BTW) The only downside was that she appeared in only six episodes. The episode when Richie uses "Uncle Carl's Credit Card" to buy toys, The Halloween Episode, The episode when Rachel and Harriette argue over something in a department store when Rachel tries to take a dress back, the X-Mas ep when Steve finds Laura's valued doll and the 2 parter Disney World episode. She did not return but was referred to the next season when Carl was being audited by IRS. They asked him something about this "Nephew Richie" and then Carl said "well his mother lives with us" and that was it.

Then in December 1997 we find out what happened to Rachel, she moved to Detroit for some reason. richie was upset because Harriette told him his mom would not be able to make it for X-Mas but towards the end of the show, she suprises him and sings O'Holy Night. She normally would sing on almost every X-mas show. Well that concludes the Aunt Rachel timeline.
