The case of the model whose car was found near one of the entrances to the Angeles National Forest in 1992 still bugs me. It told of a guy who was driving through one of the camping areas there and accidentaly turned down a dirt trail only to see this virginal beauty sitting there in a white dress. He later thought this was the model that went missing several days earlier. All of a sudden these three burly guys come barrelling out of nowhere and tell the driver in no uncertain terms to get the hell out of there. A couple of them had long stringy hair that obscured their features. I just wondered if there has been any resolution/update to this case.

Her bones were found, but I think her killers are still at large,

That was the Kimberly Pandelios case. An arrest was made in the case last year. Here's a link on the April 2004 article:

http://da.co.la.ca.us/mr/042004a.htm

The name of the man they arrested is David Rademaker. I will search the internet to see whether a trial has taken place yet. However, since California's legal system is notoriously slow, I wouldn't be surprised if Rademaker is still awaiting trial.

It is no secret that the Pandelios case was believed to be connected to the disappearance and murder of model Linda Sobek (whose killer is incarcerated, doing life without parole). But no hard evidence has ever surfaced to support that theory.

Was Dave Rademaker one of the three scraggly guy that were seen buy that one witness inthe VW? If not, who were they?

We may not know for sure until he goes to trial (whenever that may be).

Wow, I actually wondered about that when I saw the segment today (the first time i'd seen it since it originally aired). The scenarios are so similar! But obviously, Sobek's killer acted alone, so that was a big discrepancy.

I did find an old link about his arrest and they do show a picture of him.
