Does anyone remember the case where everywhere this man (I believe his name was Don Decker) went, it would rain, water would just pour down from the walls and other weird occurences would happen when he was around, almost as if he was possesed by the devil? I think they even said he was possessed at one point. I remember when someone tried putting a cross on his skin, I think it burned or left a mark or something? Anyway, as you can see, I am kind of fuzzy on the story, because I haven't seen it in a while, but it has always intrigued me. I just vaugely remember this case and would like details if anyone has any. All I remember was the name, the raining scenes, and a couple other scenes. I don't remember what happened to him and where he is now.

If anyone could help out, that would be great!

Oh! And it's so great to talk about Unsolved Mysteries like this! I can't talk to anyone about the show, because they all think I'm weird if I bring it up! I just love this show, and am fascinated by unsolved mysteries!

Yes, It's titled as Rainboy on the Psychics set. :) You pretty much know some of the main details, I don't believe there were any updates on this case.

Thanks! I don't know if I will be able to buy the DVD set anytime soon, so here's hoping Lifetime re-airs the episode very soon!

Yeah, I just saw it on the "psychics" DVD.

That case is so weird! Def. one of my fave on the Psychics DVD so far!!!

So bizarre! Apparently the man said that it didn't happen since the first time it happened, after he was released of jail, for a non-violent (I think ? ) offence.

He thought that it was the mean spirit of his abusive Grand-Father who came back to possess him, because it 1st started to "rain" the night after the grandpa's funeral. Apparently he was abusive to Don but the rest of the family didn't know it at the time, hence why I think that the emotions triggered by everyone else talking good things about a pedo freak upseted Don D. deeply.

Interesting theory! I would have to agree with you on his grandfather's spirit possessing him! It was always one of the most interesting and bizarre psychic type cases in my opinion as well!

Thanks PIP, and others. I did watch this program several years ago and again today on Ch. 33 Lifetime TV at from 1-1:25 p.m. E.T. (Tue.Feb.28'06) and did take some notes as I too found this what Peter Jordan* called "singularly" fascination, as the ONLY such case on record where the details where of the cross turning black, and him also levatating and pushed back as if a locomotive had plowed into him. The rain in the house, restaurant and jail. Finding this page by a Google search of the above title, also for the woman pastor: Rev Johnson, did not find her but another interesting story of "Robert Johnson & the devil's pact" over at http://www.doktorsnake.com/voodoo/robert_johnson_crossroads.html

There's also a message box to contact William Blackburn Ministries, P.O. Box 2284, Fort Smith, AR 72901 Tel. 479:883-9641 over at http://www.williamblackburn.com/ if this is "the" pastor who was in this episode, re: his smell of death, witnessed before, and this being of five time (x5) the amount! [note: of Bill Blackburn, same name, the actor who played Lt. Hadley in all those Star Trek episodes.]

The incident having occured in Stroudsburg, Prennsylvania so maybe a note over to the officials there by way of http://www.stroudsburg.net/ might help;

And/or to contact Peter Jordan*, Paranormal Investigator over at Wolfman Productions http://www.wolfmanproductions.com/jordan.htm 75 Glen Road, Suite G-5, Sandy Hook, CT 06482, Telephone 800:735-4933 the President there of scott at wolfmanproductions dot com.

Thanks to Rbt. Stack and the "Unsolved Mysteries" staff and contacts for this "very" interesting report, where Mr. Stack concluded with the quote from John Milton about the mind of a heaven or hell, and this Don Decker perhaps having his own battfield with"in" his own body; the timing of this episode today right before a re-run of Gunsmoke's "The Noonday Devil" (1970) on TV Land's Ch. 63 from 2-3:00 p.m. with Anthony Zerbe in the dual role of the main character there, http://www.us.imdb.com/title/tt0594484/ See also that http://www.nytimes.com January 20, 2006 book review for this "Beyond Coincidence" by Martin Plimmer and Brian King; [and http://www.iconbooks.co.uk/book.cfm?isbn=1-84046-534-4 ] getting back to Gunsmoke and Milburn Stone as "Doc" Adams relating to how twins can feel each other's pain, to which I add the psychic connection in "The Unexplained" book- of the month club, 1969 of that/those rabbit(s) on the submarine and on shore experiment of ESP, that when each of the babies was killed, the mother flinched at the exact time of death for each.

Yours truly, "MrTideman", with final notation that when the pastor read from the Bible in the rain with"in" the house, the pages did NOT get wet!

Why do some people call this a hoax when numerous people, including law enforcement and a pastor, testified it was real?

I believe that the devil was inhabiting his body, no human soul has the ability to do that with water. It was definitely inhuman and powerful enough to defy the laws of gravity.

The fact that multiple witnesses were involved in multiple locations makes it airtight for me. Let's say that by some very intricate preparations he somehow had the time, resources and ingenuity to prepare for it to happen at his friend's house or in his jail cell. Well, even at that point, the spontaneous case with the priest and in the restaurant is inexplicable.

I experienced a somewhat similar manifestation-- this one was audible-- many years ago. For a long time when my sister and I were kids we heard a sound in hallways at night outside of our doors that sounded like bones popping. It followed us wherever we slept-- including in hotel rooms with our parents. Even they admitted at that point that they could not explain it. When we ignored it to maintain our sanity it dissipated and stopped eventually. I'm kind of anxious about even writing about it now because I don't want it to return. But whatever.

Sorry, the only time I can make it rain is when I visit a strip club with a whole bunch of dollar bills.
