Brent88 02-14-2005, 02:58 PM TV Guide:
Move over, Wives. It's the kids turn to stir up some trouble as Susan deals with Mike's arrest and Lynette meddles with Tom's career, Wisteria Lane's teens start showing signs of being irregular chips off the old block. First, Bree's daughter Danielle makes a misguided move to win back lawnboy John. Then, Susan's Julie realizes she shares her mom's taste in shady men after creepy Zach shows his true colors at a pool party, which, of course, leads to yet another twist for Bree's son, Andrew, who may have more to hide than just that hit-and-run
MIKE DELFINO IS A SUSPECT IN MRS. HUBER'S MURDER,

"Impossible" - Mike Delfino is questioned about Mrs. Huber's murder; John's friend, Justin (guest star Ryan Carnes), attempts to blackmail Gabrielle with his knowledge of their affair; Tom wants a big promotion, but Lynette fears that she'd be home alone with the kids more than ever; and Bree is shocked when she finds a condom -- and even more so when she learns whom it belongs to. Meanwhile, Zach Young plans a pool party for the teens on Wisteria Lane, and things get out of hand, on "Desperate Housewives," SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 20 (9:00-10:02 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.
Mr. Television 02-14-2005, 05:49 PM It sounds like a great episode.
spunkygirl 02-19-2005, 04:49 PM Sounds great thanks Brent :(
Can't believe it's the last new episode for almost a month
Brent88 02-19-2005, 07:11 PM Sounds great thanks Brent :(
Can't believe it's the last new episode for almost a month
Exactly a month... March 20th is the next one.
It's going to suck. There won't even be any repeats.
Brent88 02-20-2005, 10:11 PM Ummm... does what I just heard mean the condom was related to DANIELLE?
:eek2:
Brent88 02-20-2005, 10:46 PM WOW...
Was anyone else not suspicious of the woman in Tom's office when Lynette came by? Remember... he has a big secret that is similar to what his father was doing. *cough, cough*
Oh and about Mike, OUCH!!!
gOoSe 02-20-2005, 11:06 PM somehow i saw this plot with Andrew coming.... lol....
but seriously, how could he mess around like that and assume the other person wouldn't have feelings? Or is it just that, we don't know if he has yet...
Also wondering, is Ryan Carnes (the 'new' gardner) set to appear again?
Brent88 02-20-2005, 11:11 PM Several questions
First... where the heck is Edie? Is she dead or something? :rotflmao:
Second... Why was the guy from the police station talking to the guy who hired Mike? Is he there to get information on Mike to use against him or against the guy?
Third... How long will Susan keep secret the fact that Justin and Andrew were fooling around in the pool?
Fourth... How long will it be before Mike tells all about why he is on Wisteria Lane? What will happen after that?
Fifth... How long before we find out about Tom's big secret?
Sixth... How long will the Gabrielle/John affair news remain hidden from Carlos?
and Finally... WHY must we wait a month for the next episode? :( We didn't even get a preview, we don't even know the episode title!
jayman75 02-20-2005, 11:18 PM First, I couldn't tell who was in the pool with Justin. It was Andrew???? Wow... were they making out when Susan came out to the pool?
I can not WAIT until this comes out on DVD.
Caffeine King 02-20-2005, 11:28 PM Wait? Who was that in the pool? I know it was two guys *gag* but it looked to me like Bree's son and John's friend (Gabrielle's new gardener)
That lady in Tom's office did seem off...I got the suspicion that Tom is having an affair with her/she's pregnant.
Brent88 02-20-2005, 11:37 PM It was Andrew and Justin. I could clearly tell.
mstallons 02-20-2005, 11:47 PM Tonight's show was the second for me. I loved the ending where one of the housewives is speaking, I think about the lies or things we tell ourselves. It included "the worst ones are the ones we tell ourselves right before we go to sleep ..."
Can someone post the entire text of the closing? It was very moving to me and I would like to save it. Thanks :)
Pavan 02-21-2005, 12:00 AM WHY must we wait a month for the next episode? :( We didn't even get a preview, we don't even know the episode title!
That episode is probably not even finished editing yet. They have just begun production on the one after that, with Susan's mom.
As for this episode ... WOW!! So many things all at once! I hate that Mike is being blamed for this! Such a shame!!

That was Mary Alice, the narrator(Paul's wife and Zach's mom) who killed herself in the Pilot.
I'll get a transcript later, I liked it as well.
Mr. Television 02-21-2005, 12:23 AM It was Andrew and Justin. I could clearly tell.
OMG I couldn't tell who was with Justin. Susan was so funny trying to get out of their. I almost fell on the floor.
Overall I thought that was another great episode. I wish Mike would have told Susan why he was in town. I thought Bree's conversation with Justin was hilarious. Also I wonder if Zack is going to do something, now that he freaked Julie out.
I can understand pre-empting the show for the oscars but not for a tv movie a week later.
Brent88 02-21-2005, 12:26 AM Here's the transcript of the closing:
Yes... each new day in Suburbia brings with it a new day of lies. The worst are the ones we tell ourselves before we fall asleep. We whisper them in the dark, telling ourselves we are happy(Bree awake in bed with Rex who is asleep), or that's he happy(Lynette awake while Tom is asleep). That we can change(Justin awake), or that he will change his mind(Danielle awake). We persuade ourselves we can live with our sins(Mike in bed awake, then turns over), or that we can live without him(Susan in bed, crying). Yes, each night, before we fall asleep, we lie to ourselves, in desperate, desperate hope that come morning, it will all be true.

Last time they did that the movie bombed(The Dynasty mini-series).

But this is Oprah's TV movie...anything she touches turns to gold...she owns the world, remember?
It was Andrew and Justin. I could clearly tell.
Who? I'm not good with the names of the teens only Zach and Julie I can remember
gOoSe 02-21-2005, 01:11 AM Bree's son, Andrew. and Justin was the new gardner.

Thank you for the rapid response.
And isn't it neat that the narrator is the one that killed herself?
Pavan 02-21-2005, 01:43 AM Last time they did that the movie bombed(The Dynasty mini-series).
All "Oprah Winfrey Presents" movies do well. ABC won't miss a beat without DH next week and the week after. I also think Jake in Progress will do well, the week after.
The Dynasty film was a telefilm. Not a 4 hour mini series.

Who? I'm not good with the names of the teens only Zach and Julie I can remember
Andrew is Bree's son(the one who got drunk and hit Mama Solis back in November), and Justin is John's roommate. He's the new gardener for Gabrielle and Carlos.
tvfan0101 02-21-2005, 11:43 AM These past few episodes have been getting just a little too far-fetched. It was one thing when the series began and we had a few mysteries and some unusual goings-on. With every passing episode, however, the series gets more and more unbelievable (and yes, I realize it is a television series). I honestly have to wonder how long the creative talent can keep this up.

Brent88 02-21-2005, 01:30 PM Ratings are out
At 9 p.m., ABC's "Desperate Housewives" had the evening's highest ratings with a 14.7/22. CBS was a strong second with the 10.9/16 for "Stone Cold." NBC's "SNL: The First Five Years" was third with a 7.4/11. FOX's "Family Guy" and "King of the Hill" were fourth, leaving "Steve Harvey's Big Time Challenge" in fifth with a 1.5/2 for The WB.
sonyab 02-21-2005, 01:45 PM Woah what an episode.. My comments.. :)
The Vandecamps: The condom thing was so funny altho Rex was annoying. Nice attitude Rex. Then when they found out their daughter owned the condom the look on Rex's face. He didn't look happy.. Hmmm double standard? I thought that Rex was going to yell at her. How did she get that kind of attitude toward sex? Oh it's just sex. With a mother like Bree why would her daughter have that kind of attitude. Oh and danielle you should know that protection isn't 100%!
Justin and Gabby: He says I have to sleep with you because I think I'm gay. I thought he was lying just to get into her pants.. :) It's like come on! I can't believe she is falling for this. When he said he is messing around with his buddy I'm thinking for a split second is it andrew? Because when Bree was upset about the condom and she talked to Andrew about it at dinner I'm thinking I bet he is the one who is gay. So when Justin said he is messing with a buddy I'm thinking andrew.. That was just a few second thought because I still thought Justin was lying. When I saw Justin and Andrew in the pool woah! They were naked.. Poor Susan.
Susan and Mike: Uhhh drug traffiking? Manslaughter? What the heck?!!?! Please be innocent Mike. :( Poor Susan again! She wanted a hug from her daughter but she was with her friend. And what was with her daughter knowing that Susan had sex with Mike? That's not good..
Zak: Uhhh oh oh. He is creepy.
Carlos and Gabby: Hey Gabby was really sweet to Carlos when he was feeling down. She says poor is a state of mind. Hmmm never thought I would hear her say that. Wow!! I'm impressed.
Tom and Lynette: Poor Tom was so disapointed about losing that job. Lynette was being honest to the boss's wife. She would miss him. I don't understand why the boss's wife would go to her hubby and tell him not to give the job to Tom just because of what his wife said.. That was dumb. Of course she is going ot miss Tom.. Duh! What is Tom's secret? At first I was thinking maybe he had an affair with the boss's wife? Oh please writers I beg of you don't make Tom into a jerk!! :( I really really like him. :(
LOVE THE EPISODE! I don't want to wait a month!!!!! :( :(
jrsey019 02-21-2005, 04:13 PM I don't post her often but after seeing last night's episode I was compelled to. I thought last night's episode (Impossible) was one of the stongest yet. Mary Alice's ending narration was both haunting and thought provoking, not to mention scarily true.
Susan and Mike's break up was a long time coming, I feel for both of the character's who are obviously in way over their head. Susan and Julie obviously have similar taste in guys as both Zack and Mike now seem to be even more mysterious than ever before.
I liked both Gabrielle and Carlos in this epsiode. I'll be looking forward to seeing the two of them adjust to moving into an apartment. Gabrielle handled herself well once Justin informed her he thought he might be gay. I originally thought he was lying and hoping she'd sleep with him out of pity. Obviously as the episode went on it became clear this wasn't at all true.
Bree was hilarious once again asking John not to sleep with Danielle. I love the entire Van de Camp family and would really like to see Andrew and Danielle added to the opening credits. Anyone else think they would make great additions?
Susan finding Justin and Andrew in the pool was hilarious. I wonder how long she'll be able to keep this secret. I'm hoping we'll be seeing more of the younger Van de Camps now that Danielle has had her heart brokem and Andrew is gay or possibly bisexual. I can't wait to see Bree's reaction once this secret comes out. I also hope they really begin to develop more of a friendship between Julie and Danielle, Julie really needs some one to talk to besides her mother.
The next generation of Wisteria Lane proved to be just as interesting as others. Thanks to whoever typed up the ending narration, it was greatly appreciated.
I thought it was a wonderful episode!
Susan/Mike - I wasn't really feeling their story tonight, but it kept me entertained. The whole pie-eating man thing is interesting.
Lynette/Tom - I thought their story was great this week! Lynette did seem to be a bit selfish, but she was also justified in her wanting Tom not to be promoted. The whole scene at the company baseball game was great.
Andrew/Justin - Lovely. Absolutely lovely. As a bisexual teenager, I definitely look forward to the exploration of this story. Even though I knew Andrew would be the gay one, I was still shocked at the ending scene. Susan was just too adorable as she fell over the Youngs' lawn chairs as she ran away from the pool.
Gabrielle/Carlos - For the first time, I felt for this couple. Their last scene out on the porch was just wonderful. Great writing and acting. I hope they don't have to move.
Julie/Zach - I'm not really feeling the couple either. Julie is still a good character, but she keeps bending over backwards for Zach, even though he is obviously a little on the nutso side. I kinda feel worried for her though, since she kissed him off at the party.
Danielle/John - I felt bad for Danielle. She was just trying to make John happy, and though she shouldn't have tried to screw him if she didn't want to, I sympathized with her.
So all in all, a great episode. I really think that come next season, both Shawn Pyfrom (Andrew) and Joy Lauren (Danielle) should be upgraded to regular cast members.
Sean Snow 02-21-2005, 05:53 PM I thought last night's episode was the strongest in a while. The only thing I didn't really like were the scenes dealing with Mike and the old man. I am so confused about those and have no idea what's happening with Mike anymore. Also, Lynette is really becoming unlikeable IMO. She comes off as a control freak who sabotaged her husband and her ex-nanny. Granted, Tom should care more about Lynette's stress and all, but still...
I wish there could've been more Bree in this episode since she's always great.
Bree: My daughter is planning to offer you her virginity. I'd consider it a personal favor if you wouldn't take it.
I really liked Gabby in this episode; her scene with Carlos towards the end was nice.
I thought the Andrew/Justin reveal was the best part of this episode! I'm looking forward to seeing more of their storyline in the next episode.
barwars 02-21-2005, 06:40 PM Maybe this is just a hunch, but I'm pretty sure Justin won't be Carlos and Gabrielle's gardener anymore. I figured the scene in his apartment with Gabrielle pretty much summed up his job.
barwars 02-21-2005, 06:42 PM Second... Why was the guy from the police station talking to the guy who hired Mike? Is he there to get information on Mike to use against him or against the guy?
I'm about 99% sure that he was there, in hopes of buying him off. The "old" man told Mike he has enough money to cover his ass, and if he gets his way with the cop -- he will.
db108108 02-23-2005, 03:41 AM Not having new episode for a month does suck, but it'll be almost all new episodes till the end when it does come back.
ABC's doing this because DH has a very real shot at being the number one series in adults 18-49 at the end of the season. Right now it's number 3 with a 10.3 rating versus the 12.5 for Idol Tuesday and the 11.3 for Idol Wednesday. Those are for the auditions rounds; the ratings come down quite a bit for the main competition. If it were to air repeats in the regular timeslot, DH's season average would come down alot. Can you imagine the press is DH is number one at the end of the season? ABC, from not one show in the top 10 to the number on series, in adults at least.
spunkygirl 03-05-2005, 01:38 PM Awesome episode.
I hope Mike gets out of this mess. That was weird that Mrs. Huber's sister knew who Mary Alice from before as "Angela" so that's how Mrs. Huber must have gotten the dirt on what Mary Alice did that caused her to commit suicide
