One is the 1969 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham pictured below. Power (375 hp), room (19 feet long), comfort (thick leather seats and a soft suspension), and reliability. Ravey 02-13-2005, 04:46 PM  My thoughts exactly. Janice 02-13-2005, 04:46 PM You've got to tease me with about cars, right Janice? :D Anyway, I own two of my dream cars. But Fleet, there must be a car that you would buy if you were a zillionaire. Fleet 02-13-2005, 04:50 PM The other dream car (of which I own one) are the '68-'76 Cadillac Limos. My '76 is pictured below in a before and after photo (top- the white vinyl roof the former owner had installed and bottom- back to its original black roof). Okay, since a '71 Plymouth Hemicuda (top photo below) recently sold for $250,000, I'll choose that. While I'm at it, I also choose a '70 Plymouth Road Runner Superbird, like the yellow 440-6 bbl example in the bottom photo. peter may 02-13-2005, 05:52 PM good choice. my neighbor had a brand new one and then someone set it on fire over the summer. what kind of f****d up freak would set such a beautiful thing on fire  CarJackSnyder 02-13-2005, 09:56 PM mine is the porsche same here TheHappyBurgerMeister 02-13-2005, 10:05 PM Honda Accord. Yeah, not much of a "dream car" but seriously I really have no interest in cars whatsoever! Really just as long as it RUNS, I'm fine. But I've driven an accord before and I really liked the feeling. To me, cars are more practical than anything. Sorry to those that really are into cars! Brian 02-13-2005, 10:05 PM I've never really had a dream car. I'd just get a regular one as long as it came with an XM Satellite Radio. It'd also be nice if I had a motorcycle. Fleet 02-13-2005, 10:24 PM Here is another of my dream cars (I have many)... 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona with the optional 426-Hemi engine. One of these in Nascar became the first stock car to top 200 mph. The production versions were capable of about 170 mph with the standard 440 engine and at least 180 mph with the Hemi. And, unlike most high-performance European cars, these were very affordable selling for around $5,000 when new. They are selling for much more now- I've seen some listing for well over $100,000. Fleet 02-13-2005, 10:50 PM I also should include a 1959 Cadillac. This is a Eldorado Biarritz Convertible. *Pleasant Tomorrow* 02-13-2005, 10:58 PM Eh, a car is a car to me...but I don't drive yet, so maybe that'll change. I think the old cars were built better (and built to last, that's for sure). I may also pick a 1975 Chrylser Imperial... I mean, just look at that seat! A living room couch should be as plush! These were actual 6-passenger cars, unlike those that claim to be today. dawsongirl 02-14-2005, 01:45 AM In picture order...Toyota Camry Solara Convertible, but just the first few years. Sterling Holobyte 02-14-2005, 02:36 AM My dream car would be a car of my own making. One that uses a magnetic generator for power and will never need gas nor need to be recharged. Of course, it would still need oil to keep some of the motor parts running smoothly, but that's about it. But until that dream is realized, I've always liked the Lamborghini Countach. Fleet 02-14-2005, 02:37 AM Here's one of my favorites from the 60's. The 1967 Pontiac Firebird. (1969 Dodge Coronet R/T 440 Magnum.) Kay Scarpetta 02-14-2005, 03:18 PM Good choice! Here is a pic of one... a '71 Charger Super Bee: Ah, what a beauty. There was one on Ebay, a '71, with a beautiful metallic paint job valued at around $3,500. The car started with bidding at $6,000. I would have grabbed that in a heartbeat, but I don't get my license until a few months :( Fleet 02-14-2005, 05:30 PM Ah, what a beauty. There was one on Ebay, a '71, with a beautiful metallic paint job valued at around $3,500. The car started with bidding at $6,000. I would have grabbed that in a heartbeat, but I don't get my license until a few months :( That one in the ad is a nice one. Yeah, the bidding started at $6,000; who knows how high it will go. I'm telling you, the prices for classic muscle cars are outrageous. That's why I don't have a '69 Dodge Coronet R/T in my driveway. It's kind of ironic... us muscle car fans (I assume you are, too... at least a little) have the last laugh. For years we heard classic muscle cars being criticized (gas hogs, can't handle, poorly-built). Now, there is a better chance of buying an (overrated, IMO) Porsche or Ferrari or whatever at a lower price than a '70 Chevelle SS 454 LS6 (that means the 450 horsepower version) or a '71 Hemicuda! The classics haved proved themselves to be, overall, quite well-built and reliable. I've seen many at car shows with the original engine without being rebuilt. No small feat considering the stress these high-performance cars had to endure (like street and track racing and burnouts... not that I did any of that stuff  ) D-Dey 02-14-2005, 09:52 PM The other dream car (of which I own one) are the '68-'76 Cadillac Limos. Fleet 02-14-2005, 10:46 PM I test drove a 1975 Cadillac Limo(which coincidenally is Model #75), from some guy who was trying to sell it for $1500, but I couldn't handle the thing. Yeah, it does take some adjustment for some people. They do look intimidating. After all, they are a little over 21 feet long! It was no problem for me because I was used to driving my '71 Fleetwood Brougham which is only 2 feet shorter. When I first drove the limo, it did feel huge (but nice). After driving it for 5 and 1/2 years, it's a snap for me. It's almost like driving a regular-sized car because I'm so used to it. Luckily, out here, there are nice, big parking lots with most of the shopping areas. I have even successfully parked it a few times in a mini-mall parking lot! They are big cars, though: ponytail 02-15-2005, 07:04 AM This is what I want - http://www.mrmodels.co.nz/New_Uploads_07_04/7489_Revell_57_Chev.jpg Pitooey 02-15-2005, 10:20 AM I have way too many from the 50's to the early 70's to list, so I'll just post a few new cars that are pretty cool in my eyes... http://canadianautopress.auto123.com/ArtImages/29216/alternate.jpg 2005 Rolls Royce Phantom, price is around $335,000.
