I was shopping today and bought a lovely skirt. I went home to show my mom and she said I looked like I was wearing a table cloth. Thank you, Mother.

What it is, is the skirt has a very hippy/Bohemian look to it. I find myself being attracted to that certain style lately. I don't follow trends. I dress for comfort and the way that I like to dress. I go to school in hoodies and jeans. I have 11 piercings and short spikey hair, and two weeks ago it was hot pink. Anyway, my point is, I don't really care what people think.

So my question to you is, what is your style? Do you follow trends, or just set your own standards? Preppy, classy, modern, wild, etc?

Just curious. Afterall, I am the one who wears 'tablecloths'.

There was a period where I actually cared about how others were percieving my style, but now I've realized that everyone will always ignore me no matter how I dress. So I've let go of that. I guess I have a style... everyone does. I just have no clue what it is. God, thinking about all of this is seriously stressing me out. I hate everyone in my school so much.

That got off-topic...

just...laid back **** basically. Not baggy, but not flashy. Stuff that doesn't draw any attention to me.

Sometimes I wear just jeans and a t-shirt where as other times I wear a botton down shirt and nice pants. It all depends on what I feel like wearing on any given day.

Jeans and tshirts.. I don't really have a style. I wear a lot of collared shirts though. But I don't flip the collar up like all the trendy bimbos do.

 I know what you mean. I used to be that way too. Then when I got to highschool I was just like... the hell with it.

I have never really cared what people think. I've always had my own style. I never cared what was in or out. I like a lot of bright colors. Pink, orange, red, yellow, light blue, any really bright colors. I usually wear blue jeans, doesn't matter what brand, as far as shirts go, anything red, blue, white, black, pink, doesn't matter as long as it's really bright and if it's really flashy with a bunch of little sparkle things on it, even better.

In Montreal a few years ago while I was with my aunt visiting cousins, I saw these cool bright orange flip flop sandals. My aunt pointed them out to me because she thought they were the ugliest sandals she had ever seen and I thought they were the coolest. :cool:The plastic on one of the sandals broke about a few months after we got back, but I still wear them. I also like to wear a lot of necklaces. Just cheap jewellery from Claire's and Ardene. Like a fake amber pendant, a necklace with a guitar on it, sometimes a necklace with a peace sing on it which I got for Halloween because I wanted to dress '60s style, some cheap rings I bought at Claire's and Buck or Two and I usually tie my hair in a high ponytail.

I never followed any kind of particular style in fashion. I just like to wear what I wear. I'm not that big on brand names. If I do wear brand name clothing it's because I like the style or the color and not just because it's bluenotes or some other type of brand name. I've been that way practically all my life. I just never cared what anyone thought.

I wear a -LOT- of graphic tees. Just open up my closet and you'll see at least 20 graphic tees in there. There's a bunch more in my drawers, too. A lot of my shirts hanging in my closet right now came from Hot Topic - I seem to shop there a lot, because they have video game T-shirts and I looooove them.

When I want to feel dressed-up, I've got a dozen or so button-down collared shirts, all of them striped. I dress for comfort, and my closet will show that. :)

I'm also interested in piercings - right now, I have a cartilage in my left ear and an industrial in my right ear. I previously had a cartilage in that ear, but had to take it out for my industrial. I love it! I'm planning to have more piercings done down the road.

I Usually Wear Button Up Shirts and Dress Pants. Sometimes I Like to wear windpants, But Only if they're plain black or dark blue without any lines on the sides or anything.

I Hate jeans, I Find them very uncomfortable and basically everyone wears them. T-Shirts are good to wear As Undershirts, But I Don't Usually Like wearing just A T-shirt.

As for Hair, I Usually spend about an hour on it in the morning. I Wash it, Shampoo it, Conditioner it, Dry it, Blowdry it, Use A Small amount of gel, Then I Usually either part it in the middle or just comb it all down. As far as Length goes, Its Just slightly below the ears. I Hate it when its too short, But I'd hate having it long too...So this is just about the right length.

Hm if I had money I'd buy more jeans and shirts and crap. But sadly I'm stuck with a couple pairs of jeans, mostly baggy, and some shirts. I like shirts with words on them. I have hoodies too so I wear those. I really want a pair of low black Converses.. if I just had some money.

Whatever I like, I wear. I wouldn't call myself trendy in the least. I wear a lot of khakis and slacks (I have to at work anyway). And jeans. Almost all my tops are like long-sleeved T-shirts, but with no graphics on them. I hate graphics. Stuff you find a lot at the Gap or Old Navy. I have some shirts that are somewhat form fitting, and then I have huge swaetshirts. I don't own anything midriff cuz I don't wanna see that on anyone!

I suppose people in my school thought I was a prep.

I don't really have my own style really. I'd say my style is very "plain". I usually just wear jeans and T-shirts and I NEVER wear jewelry, unless it's like a special event. I'll occasionally put on a skirt, but not very often. I'm also VERY picky about the clothes I wear. If I'm shopping for clothes it takes me forever to find something I like!

I dress casual most of the time. Jeans, black pants, casual tops, etc. When I'm going out socially, I wear black skirts, silk blouses, that sort of thing. I have some nice black velvet outfits that I wear around Christmas. I dress in a classic style, and shop for my better clothes at Talbots or Ann Taylor. I'm not a slave to fashion, but I have tons of business suits from my working days. Luckily they're the type that never go out of style.

Did you work in a position that required you to dress fancy each day?
Yes, I worked in a corporate environment for many years.

I wear jeans everyday. I wear hoodies, and a lot of shirts that have graphics on them. I don't really like wearing a plain shirt.

I don't follow any trend; just stick with jeans and a t-shirt. When I was in my teen years then I followed the trend for example when it was florescent clothing back in the 1980's.

I mostly wear jeans, T-shirts, cargo pants, hoodies and I have a few button down shirts. You'll never catch me in a dress or heels unless I go to a wedding or something though. I hate girly clothes.

I really stopped caring what I looked like in all honesty. I mean I have to dress "preppy" because my school has a ****ing dress code that needs to die. But basically I wear collared shirts, and turtlenecks with khakis and black pants. And I don't care about matching at all.

other than work i guess I dress casual, but it isnt too often that robyn lets me go out the way I've dressed myself because I have ABSOLUTELY no sense of style or what goes with anything, at least partially due to the colorblindness thing and complete obliviousness to the finer social points of what works with plaid. While i have a fondness for stripes, plaid and polka dots, robyn hates them all, especially on me. :D

for work I wear just tan, green, black or khaki casual dress pants, solid color dress shirts - color combinations pre-assigned by robyn - and dont bother with a tie unless it is ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY.

I wear whatever I can find in the dark in the morning. Seriously though.

But mostly that's just jeans and t-shirts. I have a few zipup hoodies too... they're all the same, only different colours. So I wear one of those, jeans, and some sort of t-shirt.

I want to start dressing differently though. I like wearing stuff I've made. But what I REALLY want to dress like is Brii Davis from American Idol. Not the hair and makeup, but the clothes. This is Brii...

I wear jeans almost everyday and I usually alternate wearing a sweatshirt one day and then a t-shirt the next. I always wear my hair down and wear jewlery and some makeup if I remember to put it on.

 I had neon green socks to go with my neon green sweatshirt.

I indulged in that when I was growing up. I was a VERY 80's/early 90's kid - I had a ton of neon clothing sitting in my drawers and closet, plus hightops...Even had neon shoelaces to go with them...I had a couple pairs of neon shoes too...

And we can never forget... baa-dum... ACID WASH! That was a HUGE staple in my sister's and my waredobes. As soon as my sis outgrew something, she handed it down to me and 95% of the time, it was acid-wash.
