View Full Version : Full House Reunion?
PrettyinPink55 02-12-2005, 12:21 AM It's been 10 years since this show ended. I think it's time for a reunion, how about you?
I would also like them to do a new episode of Full House set in present day to see where everyone is now and whether they all still live in the same house? ;)
musicradio77 02-12-2005, 12:55 AM I've seen that post already many times about the reunion coming up. I don't know anything about it.
PrettyinPink55 02-12-2005, 01:06 AM Sorry about the repeat. I'm a newbie, so.....I didn't know about any previous posts about this...
Coory 02-12-2005, 04:03 PM It's ok but there is alot of reunion post. And Welcome!
ILuvZackMorris 02-12-2005, 04:27 PM I think it'd be great to have a reunion show. Only problem is that Uncle Jesse (John stamos) would probably not be interested. Though, since the last shows he tried were cancelled......
There was actually a rumor about a reunion special, but it was doused. It wasn't happening. I think it'd be great to have a real reunion show. I'd love to see a sort of growing pains opening type cast thing (showing the pictures from season 1 - 8 and then a "now" for each character).
Maybe we could write to warner bros and suggest it. It worked for the dvds (one set is out) so maybe it'd work with a reunion type show. An hour long one, maybe they could have DJ get married and have Stephanie and Michelle be her bridesmaids, etc.
And for once, bring back Grandpa and Grandma! :p
spunkygirl 02-12-2005, 05:02 PM Actually it wouldn't be up to Warner Bros. to do a reunion, that would be up to ABC or any network that would want to air it. Heck ABC Family or Nick at Nite could do one if the time ever came when everyone wanted to do it.

That sounds like a really great idea...the reunion idea that you have! I hope that they do something like that!
Scoobiedoo30 02-13-2005, 03:06 AM I would love to see The Cast of Full House do a Reunion if I am correct
I think They had like Mini Reunion on Americal's Funniest Home Video's when
Bob Saget was The Host.
David 02-13-2005, 12:04 PM I want a reunion! I heard somewhere though, that John Stamos wouldn't do it, that he wants to distance himself from Full House now. So... that would probably be the only problem.
cherry_moon 02-13-2005, 12:25 PM There is something i don' t understand : why does john stamos show so much distance with full house since the show ended?I think full house takes a big part in his actor carrer and that show really made him become famous , didn' t it? So what ' s his matter with full house?

I'm not entirely sure, but he hates being called "Uncle Jesse" even now by people.
I guess he's embarassed by the show or something. Cause alot of people do look down on the show as being "kiddish" :(

That's kind of sad how he wouldn't want to do a reunion, considering how close he still is to Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen and a couple of other cast members.

I don't get that either! I mean, Full House brought him fame, (I know he was a soap star before) but Full House really put his name out there! Why distance yourself from something that has made you so famous and popular? He needs to remember where he came from! That's my opinion anyway...I heard that that would be the only thing holding a reunion up as well. :(

I totally agree. John Stamos was perfect for the role of Jesse and he did a good job playing that role.
Zbornak 02-14-2005, 09:01 PM I hope there is a reunion too and this year would be the perfect year to do it; as PrettyInPink said, it's been 10 years since the show went off the air. That's too bad about John Stamos wanting to distance himself from the show. He was great as Jesse and a reunion wouldn't be the same without him.
Here is where I see the characters in 2005:
D.J. is married to Steve and has two kids. She works full-time as an attorney while Steve, recently laid off from his job as a food critic, is playing Mr. Mom and having trouble accepting the role reversal.
Stephanie is following in her father's footsteps and working as a field reporter for Channel 8 News. She is engaged to be married to childhood friend Harry Takiyama (for real this time! LOL) and the family is gathered for her wedding
Michelle is finishing her freshman year at UCLA and has trouble deciding on a major
Danny is still co-host of Wake Up San Francisco with Becky and helping Stephanie establish connections at the network to move forward in her career
Nicky and Alex are now freshmen in high school
Jesse and Joey now co-own their own record company and spend their time scouting San Francisco for hot new musical acts.
Kimmy is now a party planner, but Stephanie doesn't want her to have anything to do with the wedding, despite the fact that [surprisingly] she is known for planning the best weddings in San Francisco.
Those are just my ideas. I would love to hear yours? Where do you all see the characters today?
musicradio77 02-15-2005, 12:01 AM That's kind of sad how he wouldn't want to do a reunion, considering how close he still is to Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen and a couple of other cast members.
Mary-Kate & Ashley will not be as part of a reunion. A few cast members will be in. Jodie Sweetin, Bob Saget, John Stamos, Dave Coulier, Andrea Barber and Cadence Cameron are still going to be in a reunion. Stay tuned for what's going to happen.;)
Scoobiedoo30 02-16-2005, 02:05 AM I would loved to have seen Mary Kate and Ashley on The The Reunion
when There is a Reunion.

First John Stamos doesn't want to be a part of this reunion and now the Olsen twins aren't going to do it?! This doesn't make sense. If it's a reunion, it should be just that! And again, this show launched the careers of those girls, so they obviously should be there.
BTW, do you think Lori Loughlin will be there too?
cherry_moon 02-16-2005, 11:19 AM It s very sad indeed that Stamos and the Olsen twins doesn' t show more gratitude towards full house and above all towards the full house actors and actresses who didn' t become as famous as they did.But i think we have to understand that Full House belongs to the past now and this show will never be again because it doesn' t have any reason to go on.
Don t forget that beyond their actor and actress carrer , each character have his own life , and so full house doesn' t represent a very important thing in their real life , whereas it does in their actor' s and actress' life.

Of course that's true. I just think it'd be nice if the whole cast could be in the reunion if there was one. Otherwise, what's the point? ;)
swedeace 02-16-2005, 01:48 PM Wow! Your ideas of the reunion sound nice! I really hope they have one! Not just a sit-down session to talk about the show like they did for Married with Children. I'd be most interested in a movie like Growing Pains. That would be awesome! 8)
Blossom 02-17-2005, 06:57 PM A reunion by the entire cast would be great. However, if they started to record new episodes (probobly a two part episode and an included "talk in a studio part") they had to make up a new sort of comedy type. Full House was a family show with family jokes and centered around kids. Now Nick & Alex would be older than Stephanie was when they ended, (if I have got the american school system right) and at least 4 of the main kids characters adults. Think of it, they coudlnīt do the same sort of family comedy as they did for 10 years. And if they "invented" a new generation Tanner kids (DJīs kids) they had to make up a new universe and a few episodes wouldnīt cover it all up.
A made for TV movie would be better than a 2 part episode with a upcomming wedding for Steph and Michelles colleage plans. Maybe a movie about a Tanner family reuinion when the Tanners travelled back to San Franscio from all places in U.S they now live in. And than they could hold a wedding cermony for Steph. But I think the Harry character is out of the picture, he was a recurring guest star in 1 season - they wouldnīt pick up any eralier character. More likeable Gia Mahan (wonder if Marla would attend and play Gia again?) and Steph prepare for an Europe tour than Steph getting married I think (again, all the girl jokes around boys would be different because they now are young adults) but maybe Steph would have a boyfriend/fiance (and the Europe tour would be her last own thing as not married, just with a friend).
Well, I guess I painted myself into a corner, I have no ida what a made for TV movie would be about but I think that would be better than a few new episodes where they should pick up 10 years history.
And how many of the stars would attend a reuion? Thats the main question. And in which way should they do a reuinion - a few new episodes or a made for TV movie?
Dont get me wrong, I would love to see a reunion with the entire cast but at the same time I would be disapointed if the did a corny two part episode or a bad tv movie. Maybe thats best for us all to keep the reuion dream in our minds? But IF they did a great episode/episodes with all the stars - that would be the greatest.
Or now I have an idea, what if the episode would be a last farewell to Full House (lets face it, the last two parter of season 8 was not like the most endings for a TV series so famous). The family finally go separate ways after living in the same house/city area for almost 20 years (1987 - 2005). And a clip show mixed with presens things. And than they donīt have to make up a new universe, if they give the center cast the main plot and just show that DJ have kids of her own. And do a farwell like Family Ties, Boy Meets World or Spin City when Michael J Fox lefted the show. And they even do a "talk in a studio" thing.
Well, now I am there again, picture up my own dream about a reunion that might work in the theory. But I am still worried about the comedy type, family comedy as they did or a level higher as 70īs show (hope God not! That is ok for 70īs but not for FH)? Well, I really donīt know - in my mind I would love a reunion but in real life... I donīt know. But for the record, all your ideas for a reunion episode (or a few episodes) is great as Swedeace wrote, thats just my worries...

I know. Beside John Stamos and the Olsen Twins, is somebody else would have to play Uncle Jesse and Michelle?:) Just curious.

swedeace 02-17-2005, 07:59 PM Cool idea, Blossom!! Jättekul!!! :) Have you found out when the Season 1 FH will be released i sverige? I hope soon!!! :D

Well, I donīt think tjeh will do an European release of Full House at all. Maybe they do a special box for England or Spain (but not for Germany or Scandinavia). And in that case I might buy FH from amazon.co.uk but I guess I have to order it from U.S if I want the DVD (I orded Spin City from U.S).
Back to the main topic of this thread, what would you peoples like the most - a made for TV movie which they air on a special comedy day with a FH episode marathon, a talk in the studio and things like that, or a few (1 - 5) new episodes with a new SHORT story line? What would be best?
Coory 02-17-2005, 09:50 PM I think a TV movie would be best. A few episodes would be nice but it would be VERY hard to do. A movie sounds like the best idea.
And I think the Olsen twins MIGHT(a slight possibility) do a reunion. I saw a interview with them a while back and they were asked about Full House, the interviewer never mentioned a reunion, but the way they talked they gave off the impression that they would be up to do a it if they had one. So I think the door is still slightly open for the Olsens to have hope.
bschmale1113 02-19-2005, 10:28 PM He my Option they can do a reunion without a castmember with maybe Bob Saget or Candice Cameron or mabe even a Dave Coulier but can't not do a reunion without John Stamos and Mary-Kate & Ashley Olsen beacuse there the main stars of the Show if one of John or the Olsens Twins were not there no Reunion so it maybe harder now beacuse you got John Stamos new tv series coming up and you even Lori finally has hit show on her hands with The WB Summerville and you the Mary-Kate & Ashley in NYU And her career is not go right now there a still a major hollywood star right nown maybe not next year but still this year i don't think there will be a Reunion I could be wrong I don't thank that not happen
