Recently, TV Land has been rerunning the early Kirstie Alley episodes where she lusts after Evan Drake to attempt to advance in the corporation. Then Martin Teal falls for Rebecca and sends Sam to Mexico so that he could marry her. Then Rebecca gets involved with Robin Colcord who plots a hostile takeover of the corporation. Which leads me to this inquiry: Do the early Rebecca episodes glorify sexual harassment in the workplace? I feel that they do because it seems Rebecca want too use her looks and wiles to advance in her career.

No, that's silly. The crux of Rebecca's character is someone who wants love, but only wants it with someone who's rich, because she's also money- and power-hungry. It has nothing to do with promoting sexual harrassment.

If anything it was poking fun at it.

I don't think that was particularly sexual harassment. However, Sam's actions at times probably could have been. lol.

Sam's actions against both Diane and Rebecca were definite signs of sexual harrassment. Rebecca on the other hand, was just a fool who never outwardly came on to one of her bosses.
