Has anyone done that? Has anyone bought a cd of a band or artist and only liked 2 or three songs on the album and hated the rest? A waste of 30 bucks.

View Full Version : Buying an album and it turns out to be crap Sweet Brunette 02-11-2005, 06:03 AM Has anyone done that? Pentimento 02-11-2005, 02:39 PM That's why I go to Amazon or Barnes & Noble when shopping for music. There's usually a 30-second sample of at least half the tracks, so I can tell if it's something I'm willing to buy. But really -- $30? Where do you shop? (Oh. I just noticed your location. Maybe you should move to the avenue of reasonable expectations. :) ) Superstar 02-11-2005, 04:25 PM Destiny's Child - Destiny Fulfilled. Only one good song, Lose My Breath. I cant think of many other ones right now..... Dean Winchester 02-11-2005, 04:27 PM more than I can say... one of the reasons I buy so few cd's anymore... I only wanna buy cds I know I actually will listen to more than one or two tracks. Nighthawk76 02-11-2005, 04:34 PM Yeah, it was called Van Halen III! Actually there have been countless CDs that I have bought that turn out to have only one or two good songs on them. EmoJoe 02-11-2005, 04:44 PM Nsync and Britney Spears...i used to like them, now theyre just embarrising to own. Belair 02-11-2005, 04:47 PM I used to spend a fortune on cd albums that i never listened to,so now I just burn my music, and that way,I can listen to the songs before I decide to put them on a cd.Screw cd shops, they are a rip off anyway. I agree completely... and sorry, 99 cents is too expensive for ONE SONG, especially since mp3's are no frills and sound-inferior to actual cd's. dawsongirl 02-11-2005, 06:25 PM Yeah...Now That's What I Call Music Vol. 2 I only bought it for Robbie Williams' "Millennium." Never bought another NTWICM album. My Matchbox 20 album (the first one, whatever it's called) was kinda like that, but there's 3 or 4 on there. Oh...Barenaked Ladies...the one with "One Week" on it. I only like that and "It's All Been Done." Dean Winchester 02-11-2005, 06:31 PM Yeah...Now That's What I Call Music Vol. 2 I only bought it for Robbie Williams' "Millennium." I did like "Stunt" by Barenaked Ladies (the One Week/It's All Been Done cd), but once I heard the followup "Maroon", I was finished with them. I liked a few MB20 songs, but never enough to buy an album of theirs... although I did love "Bent" Steve M. 02-14-2005, 11:34 AM Billy Joel's debut album, Cold Spring Harbor, squarely falls into that category! |
