I was wondering if he had brothers and sisters I dont ever remember seeing them on any of the shows ,but I did not see all of the shows .I do know they talked about his parents but never showed them either on any of the shows I have watched .

I don't think any brothers or sisters were mentioned, and I don't think the writers lead us to believe that Steve was anything but an only child (Steve's parents were ruined for other children after Steve was born, is the implied joke, I guess). I do, however, remember an episode where Steve's father was shown, and he was a "little person" (PC form of "midget"). Whether there were earlier episodes where Steve's father was portrayed as being of normal height, I have no idea because quite frankly, I never followed this show very closely.

i love the show!!! i think i've seen all but a few episodes. i'm into reruns now.

it was mentioned before, Steve was an ONLY child.

Steve Urkel's father was never shown. He was reffered to in a Season 2 episode as Doc Urkel. Carl had gotten into a fight with him, and Steve Urkel got upset. "Carl, I love you like a father, and my father like a........ Neighbor" Steve Urkel's mother can be heard in an episode from Season 4. He's waiting up to hear what happened on Maxine and Waldo's first date. Eddie and Laura both told him they'd call back and tell him about it earlier, just to get him off the phone. His mother yells "Steven!... It's 3am! why in Sam Hill aren't you in bed!?" Steve says "Eddie and Laura promised to call me back, and I don't want to miss their call ma!"
