I love the Ropers. They were funny together. But I think 2 years was enough for them. If they would have kept the not enough sex jokes up in 7-8 years, that would have got old and stale and viewers would have been tired of them. So I say they left at the right time.

I totally agree. Although I LOVE the Ropers, the sex jokes wouldn't have lasted. I think the show lasted as long as it did because they had fresh cast changes which brought something new to the show.

I KNOW THAT, TVSHOWAnalyzer. You know what I meant. Whether they left, or the producers removed them, they were still OFF the show.

And they made one more appearance in Season 5 which would be their last.I wonder if Mr.Furley was the landlord since the beginning,would people be tired of his character in the future?

Yeah, I agree too. They were great. I loved them But I agree there jokes would have eventually gone stale. So maybe it was better that they left. But I loved when they made a guest appearance on the show again in "The Night of the Ropers." It was fun to watch them again. :D :D :wave:

I think the Ropers sex jokes were the funniest part of the show... I am upset they left so soon! My favorite lines are Helen's cracks about Stanly not getting it up! lol
