Yes, it's another one of those threads you make when you're bored. I was looking over my Good Times dvds since I got the 4th season set today, and realized I now have a majority of GT episodes. I started thinking about what other shows are well represented in my collection. Here's how my top five looks:

1.Good Times, Seasons 1, 2, 3 and 4 - 85 episodes
2.24, Seasons 1, 2 and 3 - 72 episodes
3.Soap, Seasons 1, 2 and 3 - 69 episodes
4.Saved By The Bell, Seasons 1/2 and 3/4 - 62 episodes
5.Flintstones, Seasons 1 and 2 - 60 episodes

What's your list?

Let me think.

1. Cheers Seasons 1, 2, 3, 4
2. Seinfeld Seasons 1, 2, 3
3. The Simpsons Seasons 1, 4, 5
4. Three's Company Seasons 1, 2, 3
5. Pee Wee's Playhouse Sets 1 & 2

I think that's about it, as far as multiple seasons DVD's are concerned. Cheers is the only TV show I have 4 seasons of now.

And most of those episodes are over 25 minutes long, because deleted scenes are mixed in right with the episodes.

Out of the 1,225 episodes the show made, there's about 200 episodes I haven't seen from the series. If MPI keeps releasing this show on DVD every other month, the show should be completed on DVD by 2008.

I think they should do with Passions (since Passions is certainly the campiest soap and one that would lure in people who don't care for soap operas, kinda like Dark Shadows did) what they've done with DS. Release a set of 50 episodes every month. It is one soap I think would do well on DVD, and unlike Days or As The World Turns, it hasn't run so long that it wouldn't be humanly possible to eventually get most of it out eventually.

That's pretty decent. 40 episodes per volume coming out every other month. That's a perfect number of eps to hold you over until the next volume comes out. Too bad they can't do that with a show I want.

If Passions ever is released on DVD, I would only buy years 1999 - 2002. After that, all the supernatural in the show died down too much. Plus they brought in that horrible little midget woman to replace Josh Ryan Evans character as the doll. I thought that was disrespectful to Josh.

I love supernatural stories, so I hope Days gets released eventually so I can see the possession storyline they did.

I end up watching all 40 episodes within a few days. Most of the time I only do that to make sure the discs aren't messed up. Other times I just watch them because I love the story going on.

are you planning on getting the deluxe box set that comes out 11/15? I'm going to sell my sets off and pay for it with the money I made from it, mostly because my season 1 and 2 DVD's have been to hell and back and my season 6 DVD has two discs that skip (and 6 is my second favorite season).

I'm not sure wether or not I will buy it because I just finished collecting the season sets. I bought Season 1 blindly in late June and Buffy became my obsession all summer! Now I am holding off on buying Angel until a boxed set comes out. My favourite seasons in order from best to worst: Season 2, Season 6, Season 3, Season 7, Season 5, Season 1, Season 4.

Umm... I haven't really seen Angel except for about half of an episode. It seemed pretty good. I'm definetly gonna buy the DVD's. I bought Buffy having never seen a single episode and now it's one of my top 3 shows ever.

As of right now, the only change in my top five since my last post is that I Love Lucy extended its lead:

1.I Love Lucy (153 episodes) - S1-5
2.Homicide: Life on the Street (100 episodes) - S1-3, 5-7
3.Flintstones (88 episodes) - S1-3
4.Sanford and Son (87 episodes) - S1-3, 6
5.Good Times (85 episodes) S1-4

Once I get Good Times S5, I'll have 99 episodes of that
Once I get Saved By The Bell: The New Class S4, I'll have 91 episodes
