Did I miss something? In one of the closing scenes where Ward and June are in the kitchen and Ward said he charged 80 cents to have his friends come in and watch his grandfather sleep because he had a beard, June at first looked for an explaination and then she quickly stopped him. Was there some sort of old fashioned weird thing about old men and beards?

I noticed that, too. I wondered why she cut him off. I thought I missed something.

This is one episode in which June didn't wear her pearls. In one scene she wore a large bow.

The opening montage (a cartoony freshly poured cement sidewalk) was one I'd forgotten. These are the few I remember: 1) the Cleavers leave for a picnic; 2) Ward and June stand on the front step as the boys leave for school; 3) June and Ward wake the boys in their beds. I'm sure there were more. What were they?

She just didn't want to know I guess. :)
