I love both of these bands to death. Both bands knew how to funk, but I'll give the slight edge to the JBs only because George Clinton hired away many of the JBs to join P-Funk like Bootsy Collins, Fred Wesley and Bernie Worrell.

Are these George Clinton albums any good? Computer Games, You Shouldn't-Nuf Bit Fish, Some Of My Best Jokes Are Friends, R&B Skeletons In The Closet. I haven't heard any of his solo albums. He had some weird album covers.

R&B Skeletons... is mediocre at best. The album cover is the better than the album.

I've always wanted to ask a question about Parliament Funkadelic. How come both of these groups are separate even though they have the same band members in both groups?

From what I know, George Clinton formed both bands. Parliament was called The Parliaments at first. They played doo-wop music. Then they started playing psychedelic type music and formed another band called Funkadelic. He then merged both bands. I don't know if I explained that right, it started something like that.

Each group were signed to different labels.
Before the Parliaments splintered into different groups, they recorded under various labels. One of which was one of the Motown sub-labels.
Funkadelic recorded for Westbound Records ('69-'75) then Warner Brothers ('76-80).
Parliament recorded under Casablanca Records('74-80). :)
