Joker85
02-17-2005, 03:26 PM
The name of the episode is "Bedtime Stories" or "Bedtime Story" one of those. However, since you knew the dialogue that was in the scene I think we can say that you got it right :p

Kate, Dorothy's daughter, was the first relative to visit in the episode "Guess Who's Coming to the Wedding"

Joker85
02-17-2005, 05:29 PM
aw geez...not sure if i can think of one you can't answer. Let me think...

Dorothy, Blanche, and Rose each had a daughter who appeared on the show at least twice. Their second appearance, they were each played by different actresses. Name all 3 of these daughters.

Joker85
02-17-2005, 06:44 PM
Kate, Rebecca, and Kirsten were the ones I was thinking about.

are you talking about when they axed Coco and removed a lot of his scenes from the Pilot script?

Joker85
02-24-2005, 10:48 PM
ahhh...that was a really good question!

Aside from the dropping of Coco, name 2 other changes made after the Pilot.

boechsner
02-25-2005, 03:31 AM
1. The entrance to Blanche's bedroom changed. Instead of being at the end of the hall, her room, in the pilot was where the entrance to the lanai is.

2. The living room furniture was moved around slightly, on a slant.

3. Estelle Getty got a new wig.

4. The kitchen table was never again seen without a table cloth.

My question: Phobias are a recurring issue. What are two phobias that Dorothy has confessed to at one point or another.

Joker85
02-25-2005, 04:27 PM
She had a fear of hospitals in "The Operation" and a fear of flying in "Nothing to Fear but Fear Itself".

boechsner
02-25-2005, 09:17 PM
Yep, you got the two I was thinking of. It's your turn!

Joker85
02-26-2005, 01:12 AM
i'm tired so i'll make it an easy one...

Who was the only actor to appear in the pilot episode of Empty Nest, which aired in the second season of The Golden Girls, who also appeared in the series once it started?

Joker85
02-26-2005, 02:23 PM
Sorry I should have made it clearer. I mean, there was an actor who appeared in the Pilot episode of Empty Nest, which aired as the second season finale of The Golden Girls. Two years later the series Empty Nest premiered with a whole new cast, except for this one actor. He was playing a different character though. Hope that makes sense.

boechsner
02-27-2005, 08:29 PM
David Leisure played Oliver in the second season finale/pilot episode, entitled, Empty Nests. He was the only actor who would go on to the series but as a different character, Charley Dietz.

Next question ...

Bill Dana is best known for his role as Uncle Angelo. However, he guest starred in another episode as a different character. What episode and who did he play?

boechsner
02-28-2005, 12:53 PM
In order:

Television appearances only:

Betty White

(role on The Mary Tyler Moore Show, Mama's Family, Life with Elizabeth plus tons of appearances on game shows and other shows, Match Game, The Odd Couple, Who's the Boss, What's My Line, Petticoat Junction etc.)

Rue McClanahan

(role on Maude, Mama's Family, Apple Pie, Another World and guest appearances on Gimme a Break, Alice, Charles in Charge, The Love Boat etc.)

Beatrice Arthur

(role on Maude, Amanda's plus a few guest appearances on All in the Family, Saturday Night Live, etc.)

Estelle Getty

(few roles pre-Golden Girls, just a few guest appearances on Hotel, Newhart and Cagney & Lacey)

Do you need more info? Or is this enough

Jonathan
03-01-2005, 02:26 PM

I'll take a shot in the dark (I know I'm wrong) and say Macy's LOL

boechsner
03-06-2005, 07:46 PM
Ok, here's a hint.

(Title of the shop) .......where every dress is a guaranteed one of kind...

Blanche: If we have the same dress, Mr. _________ will be left with one of a kind!

Technically, two dress shops are involved, the 1st one where Blanche and Dorothy buy the same dress and then the 2nd one where Blanche and Sophia buy the same dress.

Brieannas21
03-08-2005, 12:56 AM
Ummmmmm, yeah I still don't know it, that's a hard one I tell ya. I'll guess since no one else is,

boechsner
03-08-2005, 02:31 AM
Nope, the answer is Morty's.

Wow .... okay, I guess, I'll have to stick to easier questions, for you guys.

Sophia's purse was damaged in a 7th season episode and Dorothy bought her a new one. How'd it get damaged and in what episode.

Oh, yeah, I like details when it comes to trivia!!!

Brieannas21
03-08-2005, 03:20 PM
From Here To The Pharmacy When Sophia goes to the Drug store with Blanche and Sophia gets into a fight with a man over Preparation H and she ends up putting it all in her purse, So Dorothy ends up buying her a new purse.

boechsner
03-08-2005, 03:52 PM
Yep, it shrunk down to the size of a change purse, according to Sophia. You are up!

Brieannas21
03-08-2005, 04:52 PM
Ok....

In one episode the girls get a visitor who says that he's selling encyclopedias but in fact he's Blanche's dead husband son. Then next day they see the same young man at the grocery store. What does Rose say about the young man when they spot him outside the house?

HINT: IT was a funny line

Brieannas21
03-28-2005, 01:04 AM
