I just received an e-mail from TVShowsOnDVD.com (http://www.tvshowsondvd.com) about the new complete season set that will feature all 5 seasons in one box. I'm not sure if this is the ottoman collection or not, but here (http://www.tvshowsondvd.com/newsitem.cfm?NewsID=2894) is the article!

I also recieved this notification today. I don't think this is the ottoman collection. I'm sure Doug Denoff would be promoting this himself and he hasn't updated his site since June. I'm wondering if there are different extras in this set or if it has all of the same things in the individual sets just compiled.

I am not sure how I feel about this. The article did mention a collective twelve-page booklet, however this is probably simply a compilation of the five four-page booklets that comes with each boxset. I do not think it fair that the list price is $100 less than if all season sets were purchases separately. Those fans, like me, had no idea that such a collection would eventually come out, and were forced to buy the season sets separately. Thus, it seems as if the people who "abstained" from purchasing the box sets are being rewarded by a cut price, which I do not think fair. However, I am not sure by how much this set will be discounted when released. I got each season for approximately $39 each at samsclub.com, and if multiplied by five, would probably still equal less than even the most discounted "All Five Seasons" boxset would ever be.

Algebra74,
Bear in mind that as time goes by, if previous trends appy, these sets will decline in price anyhow.

Hello all! sorry to have been so absent for so long - been very preoccupied with moving to New York City (it's that place just south of New Rochelle!). I also moved my offices in LA in November and if I never see another packing carton it'll be too soon! Still more to move though.

I just updated www.dickvandykeshow.com with links to the new 5-season boxed set on Amazon - 30% off with free shipping. The set ships May 24.

Sadly this is still not the Ottoman Collection but it's nice to know that many of you still want that. Dad and I plan to get back into this saga in the coming weeks and see if we can't finally make it all a reality.

Hope everyone is well - it's nice to see some new names here as well as old friends (hi Lolac!).
