LOS ANGELES (AP) — It's been a little over a year since the demise of "Bennifer" - Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez.

While Lopez has since married Marc Anthony and Affleck is cozying with Alias star Jennifer Garner, they are reuniting for the big screen.

Gigli Reloaded will start filming in May, and will once again pair Bennifer up reprising their characters from the 2003 blockbuster Gigli.

There was talk of a Gigli II right after the original came out, but once Affleck and Lopez split, people thought a sequel was doomed.

"Critics and filmgoers loved Gigli, and I still haven't forgiven the Academy for overlooking Jen," says Affeck. "We might not be a couple any longer, but I know filmgoers will sense that chemistry is still there."

Also joining the cast of Gigli Reloaded is pop superstar Mariah Carey, who also promises: "Don't worry guys, Glitter II is happening, just need to find the right script."

Director Martin Brest states he intends on making the Gigli franchise a trilogy, with Meet The Giglis as the third and final film of the series to be shot next year.
