Does anyone here think they should change the show's opening credits?

Personally, I think they should keep the theme song but update the scenery that Doug, Carrie, and Arthur appear in Queens. :)

Well, I think there should be a change, because it's been the same for so long now. I'm not really familiar with Queens. You are the Queens expert ;) , what changes do you think should be made?

LOL well you know how they show the red 7 trains in the very beginning? Well the 7 trains sadly aren't red anymore. We were always known for being the Redbirds but they decided we should be normal like all the other trains lol. Hmm what else...well you know that store that says Champion Ping Pong that comes right before Doug and Carrie are sitting under a tree in the park? Well that's also gone..i live a block away from it lol. They made it a mini-shopping mall [though I like to refer to it as the mediocre mall]. And umm I dunno maybe they could go back to the other places like the Lemon Ice King or the Unitron again. I'd just like to see how it would look :)

Guess I'm too much like one of Pavlov's dogs - but I like the intro just fine because I know when I see it (and hear it!) - that I'm about to get a real treat!!!! And I especially like the part in the intro where Douglas drops the ice cream out of his cone and Carrie rolls her eyes - kinda says it all, doesn't it? :D

Me too! LOL but I think they should do sort of a re-make kinda thing. Like if they do decide to change the intro, that they would visit the Lemon Ice King of Corona again and do the sae exact thing..y'know just to show how they've changed..lol I can't explain this...

I think the opening credit would be better if you saw the other characters to like Decan, and everybody. I love the themesong thought.

Does anyone know why they show so many scenes in Brooklyn? They always always show the Verrazzano Bridge, and always scenes of Bay Ridge, Brooklyn!! Are they re-using clips from another show? Or did somebody forget the difference between Brooklyn and Queens and thought nobody would notice?

I hope they keep it the same. Openings are
hard to come up and it's best to stick with
something that works. Also when you see a
new one it usually seems a strained effort
and also doesn't work as well. The show itself
is starting to get more inconsistent and needs
to get back to quality of those older shows.
It doesn't need a new opening to try and dress
things up that might really act as a dividing
line of when the show started to slip and
which shows to avoid. The opening is fine.
If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

yea every once in a while they show shots of the verazzano.. like i said before, but also they show bay ridge, brooklyn.. 86st and 5th ave.. im positive its where im from :crazy:

I know that.I just named a couple of the boroughs you go threw when you get off that bridge.Trust me I know my mom has taken that bridge a few times and we have gone threw Brooklyn, Queens etecetra.

Coming from the South that is.I live Upstate in the Mid-Hudson Valley unfournately and we go over either the Whitestone or Throgs Neck from here but we have gone over the Veranzzo Bridge a few times.

When my Aunt and Uncle and cousins etcetra came from AC NJ last year they went over that bridge too so you can get to Long Island from The Veranzzo Bridge.

My younger brother even called my mom and had said they were just getting off the Veranzzo Bridge because we all went to AC together that is if you want to site see threw the 3 boroughs from the car which I love to do.

I know that we've done it. Because queens isn't too far from Long Island either I'd say 30 minutes maybe shorter.Thanks.. Mel :cool:

yea your right COMING FROM THE OTHER WAY.. but even still my point was that is still a famous bridge in Brooklyn, not Queens.. everybody has to pass the Verrazano in order to come to Brooklyn, its the only bridge connecting SI to Brooklyn.

PS- anyone see Kevin James on the Tony Danza show??I didn't see Kevin on Tony danza's show.But I have have seen him in his new movie Hitch.It was a number 1 movie here in America it was pretty funny and worth a see if you want. Mel :cool:

Yeah that's exactly what I was thinkin'. Little up to date things. I really love the ice cream part too and I was thinkin' they should go back to the same spots and kinda do the same things over again just to show how much they've change [cast,appearance,etc.] in the past few seasons.
