I read somewhere that Phil Simms was a guest star on Moonlighting. Is this the same Phil Simms that played for the NY Giants? I think it was in "I See England, I See France..." but if it was the same guy, I can't figure out what he role played??? :confused:

I have read that that is the case...and I have watched this episode looking for him...but if you look at imdb.com you will see that the Phil Simms in this episode http://imdb.com/name/nm1405203/ was on TV series all the way back in 1976...when quaterback Phil Simms would just started playing ball in college...so I seriously doubt this could possibly be him. I think it is a name in common that has gotten mixed up.

Somewhere I saw something (maybe the credits of the episode) that said this Phil Simms played Harry Sofer...and that ain't QB Simms unless they altered his appearance considerably.

Thanks for the info. I've watched the episode closely but I wondered if he just got edited out in syndication! I was pretty sure what I read even mentioned something about him being the Giants quarterback, but I think you're right that it's a mix up with someone else with the same name.

I know what Phil Simms looks like, and I don't remember ever seeing him in a Moonlighting episode. A Jim McMahon reference - yes, but Phil Simms?????
