I'd like to watch "The Five Mrs. Buchanans." I've heard it's fairly funny, plus it'd be fun to see the wonderful Beth Broderick in a pre-Aunt Zelda sitcom role.

First and foremost I'm dying to see Mr. Terrific again, but there are others:

The Double Life of Henry Phyfe
Captain Nice
Run Buddy Run
The Second Hundred Years
Here Come the Brides
The Guns of Will Sonnet
Once A Hero
The Education of Max Bickford
and (may Bonanza's other fans forgive me) Ponderosa

And now I'll probably think of a whole lot more.

There are so many. But holding the top spot for the past 40 years or so is Fair Exchange. While watching a b&w Andy Griffith recently, I saw Flip Mark --the American son on Fair Exchange. I called my wife in to see and said, "This is the closest we'll ever come to seeing Fair Exchange."

The SciFi Channel had it in their lineup just before I got it and it's always bothered me that I haven't seen it since it went off the air more than 20 years ago: Voyagers!

 I probably wouldn't like it half as much as I did then, but I really would like to see just one episode again.

I'd like to see "The Job" a short-lived sitcom with Dennis Leary that ABC had in the summer of 2001. It was scheduled to return in the fall, but was pushed back after 9/11, and then, I guess, it was canncelled.
Also, "Van Dyke and Company" a HILARIOUS, but, unfortunately, short-lived, variety show hosted by Dick Van Dyke on NBC in-1975?

"The Mary Tyler Moore hour" a short-lived hour-long show with Mary Tyler Moore on CBS in 1978, that had an up-and-coming David Letterman as one of the co-stars and a young Micheal Keaton in a small role.

Here Come the Brides (I was a huge Bobby Sherman fan LOL!), Bridget Loves Bernie (I was sorry to see its stars split up in real life--I was a Christian girl with a crush on a Jewish boy around the time of that show), Friends and Lovers, My World and Welcome to It, When Things Were Rotten, Square Pegs (now that I have seen TBS airings of Sex and the City, I have grown to love Sarah Jessica Parker!)...and a couple that I haven't seen mentioned here yet. One was a great source of amusement for my husband and me early in our marriage, Dinosaurs--the show with people in latex suits and the baby that hit its dad on the head and yelled "Not the mama!" all the time OMG LOL! The other is a show that George Clooney was apparently in even before his brief time on Roseanne--something called Bennett Brothers.

And as for everything eventually ending up on DVD--tell that to whoever has made the decision not to release "Chico and the Man"!

yea, I remember seeing daytime reruns of that show years ago, in the 70s, on channel 11 in New York, and I also remember seeing it in its original airing on NBC. You're right, it is pretty good, but a bit slower paced than "The Cosby show" & "Cosby" (his later show on CBS).
I also wouldn't mind seeing it again.

I remember, Joyce Bullufiant (Murrys wife on "The Mary Tyler Moore show) was in some of the episodes.

But, I'd also like to see it again.

It wasn't as good as it could have been because either they didn't get the rights to all the episodes, or the better, more contraversial eps aren't allowed in syndication.

It's like whenever you see Carol Burnett and Friends, its not nearly all the old eps. of the Carol Burnett Show. There was one skit where Tim Conway was robbing a bank (obviously for the first time) and was wearing a gorilla mask and reading crib notes. One of the funniest skits ever, and its never been seen again in repeats. I'm not exactly sure why. :(

speaking of "The Carol Burnett show", there's also a sketch that I've never seen rerun, it was the first time they paired Harvey Korman and Tim Conway. It was a sketch in a dentists office, and Tim was the Dentist and Harvey was a patient having his tooth pulled. Tim had just gotten out of dental school, and Harvey was his first patient, and he kept making mistakes, like, I remember, he injected novicane into his hand.

I remember, the sketch was HILARIOUS!!!

"Palmerstown, U.S.A."-1980-CBS

"Radar"-1986-CBS. This was an attempt to spim-off Radar from "MASH". Only one episode aired, in the summer of, I think, 1986.

Thanks. I know some of them are on VHS. I want them on DVD though. Superman is supposed to come out eventually, but...

The original Addams Family should be out, IMO, but there seems to be no signs of that happening any time soon. :( I think it would be great if the two AF versions were released as a box set.

It was! I always liked Paul Sands and wished they had given him another chance at his own show. He was great on the eps of Mary Tyler Moore when he played her tax auditor.

I watched a couple of Hot L Baltimores there this summer. Pretty bad I thought.

I have to say that there aren't many things I haven't been able to get or at least see over the last 25 years of collecting. Don't Call Me Charlie, Harris Against the World, Tom, Dick and Mary although I saw the last 2 at Library of Congress. I would like to see a color episode of Hank. I've never come up with an All's Fair although I did see one at LOC (they have them all). And I don't have any Corner Bars either (saw one at UCLA). How about A Touch of Grace? Don't know anyone with one of those. Or The Brothers with Gale Gordon. Anyone have an episode?

I have to say some people list some really laughable stuff, things they could have easily taped when they aired. Here Come the Brides and Bill Cosby Show for instance ran on CBN. Captain Nice and Occasional Wife (among others) ran on HA. Second Hundred Years and He and She on USA, Sanford ran on BET for the longest time.

well, I read once that, eventually EVERYTHING that is/was on TV will be availible on DVD.

Nothing could be further from the truth. Do you have any idea how many shows that aired don't even exist any more? I am currently working with several entities trying to track down many obscure programs and even filmed shows, if they were not owned by major studios, have not been well kept track of. So, believe me, whoever made that statement is talking out their ass.

...all 26 episodes of "MY LIVING DOLL" (1964-'65) to be recovered. But CBS, who owned the series and cancelled it after its only season, decided in its infinite wisdom that it wasn't worth holding onto a black & white show with a limited number of episodes that would obviously had no appeal in the coming age of syndicated COLOR TV series..and one that had so many problems attached to it (Jack Mullaney replaced Bob Cummings as "star" in episode 22 after the latter walked away from the show because of his constant feuding with Julie Newmar). So the network destroyed all the of the show's negatives-less than a half-dozen episodes on 16mm are known to exist. There's an occasional whisper that SOMEWHERE, all of the episodes DO exist and are in some private collection or vault.....waiting to be recovered!

I'd like to see the EXTREMELY short-lived "Get Smart" revival from the late 80s, just out of curiosity. It's supposed to be prettyHORRIBLE (Andy Dick was in it, and supposedly, halfway through it he knew it was pretty bad and sensed it would be ending soon, so he signed on to do "News Radio") but I'd still like to look at at least 1 episode.

Yes, "You Wish" was the name of the other show that premiered on TGIF in the fall of 1997. It bombed in November 1997, and "Teen Angel" bombed in February 1998, and both were replaced by extra airings of either "Sabrina" or "Boy Meets World" at those respective times, save for an occasional special.

I watched that you tube clip of the Mr T And Tina pilot, too bad the video quality is so poor, it is almost unwatchable. I remember seeing the pilot episode when it first aired in 1976, some of the scenes were familiar, especially the part where Mr T is "floating" around the room wearing his anti gravity belt. I had forgot that Ted Lange from The Love Boat was in this show. The show really dates itself with the 1970's slang language and asian stereotypes, the studio audience seemed to be laughing it up and enjoying themselves. Susan Blanchard was cute and perky in this show, similar to how Lauren Tewes was in the early seasons of Love Boat. Not really a good show, but maybe one day the complete series of Mr T And Tina can be out on DVD as a manufacture on demand release. There are a few people who would buy it, myself included. I think 8 or 9 episodes were filmed, but only 4 or 5 were shown because the series was cancelled after only about a month on the air.

There are so many short lived shows out there that didn't make it, but were actually pretty good. It is very rare that a short lived show (that has significantly less than 100 episodes) ever passes the airwaves again. Some exceptions are That's my Mama and Phyllis.

Some short lived shows, I would love to see at least once, or more of are.....

Checking In (the short lived spinoff of The Jeffersons)--never seen
Forever Fernwood (sequel to Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman)--Saw 1 episode
Grady (spinoff of Sanford and Son)-- Saw 1 episode

There are so many short lived shows out there that didn't make it, but were actually pretty good. It is very rare that a short lived show (that has significantly less than 100 episodes) ever passes the airwaves again. Some exceptions are That's my Mama and Phyllis.

I used to watch Forever Fernwood during it's original run, it was a good show I liked it. The fact that Louise Lasser was no longer part of the cast didn't hurt the show at all, the other actors were still there and the writing remained good. However, I did not like the talk show spoof Fernwood2Night which later became America2Night, to me the show wasn't funny and Martin Mull and Fred Willard were annoying as hell. I think I saw 2 or 3 episodes and then stopped watching it.

Not sure how many of those were on DVD when I started this thread 8 years ago. I know that That's My Mama was on DVD yet
