I remember that. They weren't that far apart in terms of release, right? Odyssey's song came out not too long after Slave's. I wonder if Slave got royalties for that.

They should have got the royalties, but I'm not sure if they did. You're right, "Watching You" was released in 1980 & Odyssey came out with "Inside Out" in 1982 :cool:

Watching You is the jam. Shyne sampled it for Living Like A Hoodlum song on his unreleased cd Dear America. Slave's Just A Touch Of Love song is the jam also. That was sampled by Kris Kross for Alright song. Keith Sweat did a remake of Just A Touch Of Love. Steve Arrington who was the lead singer of Slave is from Dayton, Ohio & he's a pastor now at a church in Dayton.

The song is the bomb! That is my second favorite song my Slave behind "Just a Touch Of Love." It was also sampled in the early 90s on Snoop's "Gin and Juice."

'Slide' is the number one Slave song has far as I'm concerned! :)

I remember Slide. Cameo did a remake of that. Tribe Called Quest sampled Slide for Go Ahead In The Rain song.
