I believe that was their second to last LP as a group. You pretty much name the good songs on there. The last one 'Life' had maybe two good songs on it. Gladys & the the Pips are number one in my music collection!!! :)

Visions was a very strong album for them at that time. Much of the uptempo songs had a similar type of funky groove as Save the Overtime For Me. Back when it was released (in '83) it had a contemporary sound, progressive for what Gladys & The Pips had been known for. The song on that album titled "Hero" was the first place I heard the song that later became a big hit for Bette Midler (under a different title): Wind Beneath My Wings.

I never heard the whole album but Save the Overtime and You're #1 are both great r&b singles.

I have this one. I only listen to "Save The Overtime..." and "Seconds". The rest I haven't gotten into. "You're #1...", is okay - not great, imo.
