Best season of the show IMO. Fresh Prince was at its best when Will Smith was still a teenager.

well, neither Cheers or Taxi went downhill as badly as NC did. The last 4 or 5 seasons were horrible IMO. "I'm talking Night Court in it's fifth season lame"-Cartman

I haven't, but I've thought about checking it out. My dad is the one who got me into Cheers years ago in the first place, so I tend to use him as a meter for what 70s and 80s shows were good. He didn't like Night Court, so I've held off on it. Maybe I'll look into renting it.

I'm getting Punky Brewster: Season 2 right away. I also plan on buying Fresh Prince and Full House, but I'm in no rush for those right now...

Bad news if you're a Punky fan; apparently Shout! doesn't currently have the rights to release seasons 3 & 4 of Punky Brewster on DVD, and its not clear if they will be able to get them or not. (see the Punky board here on SO for more info) If you want to complete the rest of the series on DVD, be sure to let Shout! know and hopefully they'll be able to obtain the rights for the remaining seasons.

The only one I'm getting is Full House because that's the only show out of all the releases I like and am familiar with. I've already preordered it and I plan on picking it up right after school on Tuesday. Can't wait!! :D

I already preordered Punky Brewster season 2 dvd and Full House season 1 dvd! I'm really excited they are finally released on dvd and coming out this week and I so cant wait to get them and watch them! I hope to later buy the 7th Heaven dvds. But I also hope that Shout Factory releases Punky Brewster seasons 3 & 4 on dvd soon too tho!! Its not fair to only release half a tv show series and then quit on us, giving us an incomplete tv series set! I want the whole tv show series on dvd, not just half of it. The bonus disc is its own disc. Fresh Prince is a 4 disc set. The bonus disc is separate, it's not numbered as disc 5. It just says:

"Commemorative DVD - Volume 1"

I admit I am NOT the biggest fan of double-sided discs, especially considering I have my entire DVD collection in a book. Double-sided discs are a lot harder to take care of.

I agree, for the 60-minute shows, that really is the best way to package them. Hunter & 21 Jump Street (both on Anchor Bay) come in double slimcases and it saves a lot more space that way. :cool:

If only they made a slimmer outer slipcover, I could just buy some empty double slimcases, put the insert and discs in them and eventually have extra shelf space.

I got all the Warner box sets and Murder One. The packaging, I agree, was very irritating on the Warner 4-disc sets. All of the box sets from Warner (at least at my Costco) had bonus discs. Here's what I can tell you for sure, the first episode of "Full House" (at least, I've only seen the first episode on there) has the FULL theme song. And it's loud, too.

I'm proud to say that ALL of the episodes in the set contain the original long opening. Warner Bros., you ROCK!

Yeah I saw that link before and have posted on it already before about it. I didnt say it was their fault, my point was that who's ever fault it is or whatever, its STILL not fair to only release half of a tv show and then quit and leave us hanging. we can still be upset about it even if its not their fault. But I mean, they DID get the rights from NBC or who ever owns the seasons 1-2 in order to get them on dvd. So it seems like they could STILL go after the other company and make a deal with them to get the rest on dvd too then. It seems like who ever owns the rights to 3&4 would know that seasons 1 & 2 are already on dvd and would let shout do the rest on dvd too then. Once you start a show, it seems like they should finish it then.

I'm just saying I still would like the WHOLE tv show series on dvd to complete my set, rather than just half of it. I mean any other fan of any other tv show would feel the same way. its still really disapointing and a let down that they basically quit after only 2 seasons, when all they have to do is 2 more. Its not like other shows that ran for 10 yrs. Its just frusterating sicne we've waited DECADES for Punky to be out somewhere again and no network is ever running them, and we FINALLY get it on dvd and then they stop after 2 seasons and it doesnt sound very promising that they MIGHT get seasons 3 and 4 on dvd. it doesnt matter who's fault it is, its still disapointing. They put all these other tv shows on dvd where alot of them are constantly on tv in reruns, punky Brewster like never is.

When they released season 1 on dvd, you know that while we were enjoying season 1, they were making season 2. So it gave us something to look forward to and we knew it was coming. But now that we have season 2, its frusterating knowing that they arent making the rest when there IS more, and we dont know if they will do the rest or how many more ys it will take after we've waited THIS long already. Even if they started making season 3 now, it would still take like all yr for them to do! Thats still a long wait, but at least we'd know it was being done. But this time its not even that much.
