Did anybody like Suzi Quatro as Leather Tuscadero? It's too bad Suzi was overlooked as a woman pioneer rocker in the U.S.

She was cool, much better than Pinky Tuscadero.

Suzi was born right here in Detroit, too.

I really liked Leather. I wished they had done more with her.

i liked Leather, i really wish they would've kept her AND Sticks, maybe even added a couple MORE new characters BEFORE Richie and Ralph left.

It would've made a MUCH better transition.

But, they didn't know Ron Howard and Donny Most were going to leave. Otherwise, they probably would have introduced new characters earlier.

Suzi is still rocking today. Primarily in Europe and she has great memories of Happy Days. I wish they had done an episode where leather and Pinky were on the same show and we could see them interact. There should be a poll on who everyone prefers. Leather or Pinky.

Suzi has said that the Happy Days producers wanted to do a spinoff show with Leather but Suzi did not want to play the character for that long.

She was sort of legendary in the 70's glam rock era. She was also one of the first female guitarists, which probably influenced a lot of female rockers to follow suit.

She probably influenced bands like the Runaways, which featured a young Joan Jett and Lita Ford.

yeah I agree. The 1977-1980 era was my favorite because they had Chachi but still had Richie and Malph.

I loved Suzi - both as Leather and her music in real life. I found I styled myself after her - I spent the 80s in leather!!

She and Patty Smythe were definitely THE female rockers of the 70s!

Both Leather and Pinky rocked, but for totally different reasons. Hey, does anyone remember when Leather performed "Believe" in the episode "Richie Almost Dies"? I've been trying to find the lyrics for years, but never could. Anyone recall them right off the top of their head? And by the way, this is my first post, my names' Frank, from where else? Wisconsin :-)

"Believe"

Won't you take your strength from your friends
Know they love you so
Oh, no, they won't let you down
Come and open your heart
See you're not alone
You'll soon be home
Home again with those laughing eyes
So believe, have faith in the world and all your friends
Just like we believe in you
You can take your time
You gotta keep on trying
'Cause we need your smile to brighten up our day
Don't go away

First of all welcome to the boards Sparty2100! Second I love Leather Tuscadero. My favorite Leather episode was when she and Ralph went to the college dance together. I also like the song/dance Leather wrote for Fonzie. "Do the Fonzie, come on do the Fonzie with me!"

Same here. I have to admit I enjoy her duet with Chris Norman, "Stumblin' In" - it's even on my iPod.

My favorite Leather episode was when she and Ralph went to the college dance together.

That was a very good episode. It's one of relatively few that I specifically remember watching the first airing of, way back when I was in my last semester of grade school.

You Suzi Quatro fans should check out her teenage band The Pleasure Seekers. It was her and her sisters and a couple of other girls. Man did they rock.

I liked the one that she did in which the gang was at the Blue Ox Inn. I hope future episodes of that are uncut. One of the Suedes has posted on here. I wonder if she still does. they were only in two episodes.

We would have made it sooner but the huskies couldn't pull the car-Ralph

Ralph and Leather would've made a great couple - it's just too bad that it was not really developed.

I would have loved to see the writers develop the relationship between Ralph and Leather. I agree they would have made a great couple!

They were so different - she the tough biker babe and he the class clown. Still, it's that combination that made them click in that episode and should've been developed!!

Well you know what they say, opposites attract. And that was certainly the case with Ralph and Leather. I also thought Donny Most and Suzi Quatro had great chemistry in their scenes together. I'm surprised the writers didn't take advantage of that and develop their relationship further!

I still say she should be on that Brit TV show New Tricks making love with Jack Halford (James Bolam) to her song Believe
